I really NEED the woman and man the originals to return. I have been a loyal customer for YEARS, since they have these new... cooks the food is horrible. I literally just stopped by and looked through the window to see if they were in there, and sincethey were not I got back in my car. Leaving this review to lament the change in ownership here. We ordered from Tanoshii for years; they served genuinely the best... fried rice, fried chicken, and lo mein we've ever had. We found out to our horror last night that the old owners have retiredfrom this business, apparently bringing with them the chefs that made the old menu. The new food was alright at best, butnothing could ever hold a candle to what they used to make. Read more

The Tanoshii Experience ( Call-in/Pick-up Edition). I wanted Chinese on this day, but my regular spot is closed on Tuesday, so I... thought I would try Tanoshii. I had eaten here a while back but left with an upset stomach but was willing to try them again. SoI called in and spoke with a pleasant individual, ordered their Lunch Crispy Scallion Chicken, and asked for it to be crispy andspicy. The lunch combos come with fried rice or steamed rice, and I ordered fried rice, an egg roll, or one piece of crab cheesewonton, and I selected an egg roll. After placing my order, the worker gave me a ten-minute wait time. Once at the restaurant,my food was ready, and I was walking out of the door in no time. Once home and ready to eat, the food smelled pretty good, butthe taste was subpar. Although I ordered the Crispy Scallion Chicken, it was not crispy or spicy. The food was not bad, but Iwouldn't consider it unique and no better than what you would eat if you stopped by a Chinese spot in a mall food court. Sowould I return to Tanoshii? I don't think I will return to Tanoshii. The food was just ok but not the greatest. Tanoshiiprepares Chinese and Japanese dishes; however, I'm not interested in trying anything else from here. Not too soon after eatingmy lunch, I was in the bathroom again like the first time I ate here. I'm not sure if it's the species, but ultimately, mystomach disagrees with eating at this restaurant. We ordered take out tonight and I am so disappointed! Steak was jerky, my dog didn?t even eat it. Shrimp was unflavored, veggies... were mostly raw and no flavor, rice was stuck together and tasted old! We will not give a second chance. It is 6pm no reason forold rice. PB&J it is! Read more
