I have never been more appalled at a staff member in my life. The Porch has always had a welcoming atmosphere, and the servers... that I have had are sweet, inviting, and incredibly hard-working. I thought this would be my favorite restaurant in Winstonuntil I saw the way the manager treats his employees ! I can only assume this man thinks he is the top dog everywhere in hislife! He had glasses and colored hair. I wish I can remember his name because he was atrocious! His customer service wasfantastic ... but my husband and I could overhear every horrible thing he said about his employees and watched him speak sofoully to someone's face ... I was surprised the person didn't start crying or walk out! It didn't end there, he was speakingdown on so many workers there ... even ones that I have had before that I thought were fantastic. Behind their back, to theirface ... it didn't matter ... he was clearly not excited to be working with anyone there that wasn't himself ... I cannot trusta restaurant that will allow someone so cruel to work in their management!! I don't care if this man OWNS the place - NO ONEdeserves to be spoken about the way that he did to his employees. His customer service really was fantastic ... He was nothingbut kind to us. I really would have nothing but good things to say about the Porch if I didn't overhear him! If you don't careabout this detail ... the Porch is a five-star restaurant. My husband and I stopped in here for a drink while walking around a street festival. I had a margarita and he had a beer.... Margarita cast $10 for a single. His beer was 6 or 7 dollars. The margarita was STRONG. I feel like they could use a little lessalcohol and lower the price. A little expensive for me. But it was a cool atmosphere and friendly staff. Read more

Thanks Wyatt for an awesome lunch experience! I have been a patron for a couple of years. I am pretty sure there have been... management changes, however there is something special about this spot. The margarita flights were awesome! My friend had theshrimp tacos and they were a hit. My naked bowl wasn't the best in terms of the presentation with shredded cheese and the lackof flavor. However, the size of the shrimp made up for the disappointment. Please bring back the original queso, the texture wassimilar to hummas. I'm looking forward to the shrimp quesadillas on my return. We came in through the back, make sure you come through the front door. Generally, everyone is nice and welcoming. Price is... reasonable, I was expecting to pay more. The food was great and tasted healthy. They ask if you have any allergies. I'm not surewhy I was expecting more Hispanics at a tex-mex style restaurant, but I only saw two Hispanics - the busboy and a cashier. Andof course my wife and I. I love the decoration!!! It just remind me when I used to hang out with my friends in Venezuela! The food is amazing and the... services too. We ordered it a drink and it was really good and not too strong plus the tacos were amazing! If you want to have agreat time you should totally stop by and try this place! Read more

My husband was doubtful about the place from the street view as I admittedly had some second guesses but after finding it... snuggled behind some buildings what a gem it truly was! The Porch Kitchen and Cantina Experience (Dine-In Edition). On this day, I wanted a salad for lunch and thought I would go to... the Porch to eat. Upon entering, I was greeted at the door and sat at a table. They had a touchless menu which was great duringthese times. I ordered their chips and salsa and the Petaluma Salad that comes with romaine lettuce, red and green peppers,crispies, cucumbers, grilled tomato, avocado, corn pico de gallo, and feta cheese with grilled chicken. I'm not a fan ofavocado, so I asked for that to be left off. While waiting for my food, I went to the restroom to wash my hands. The bathroomappeared clean at the time of my visit; however, the paper towels were not in a paper towel holder, which possibly could lead tomany hands touching, a possible fall on the floor, or excess water dripping over it to dry hands. Once back to my table, mychips and salsa arrived. The salsa had a good taste. However, the chips needed salt and would have been better if brought to thetable a little warm. A waiter brought my salad next, and I enjoyed it. It had great texture and taste with the combination ofthat crunch and the leafy lettuce. I received an even amount of everything, which blended nicely to the last bite. So would I goback to the Porch again? It is not a place I would dine at for lunch often due to their price point. However, I appreciate aneclectic design that creates a good eating ambiance. The waiter I had today was great and offered an even balance of asking if Ineeded anything and simply allowing me to enjoy my meal.
