My expectations might have been too high before arriving… however, the sushi menu was very limited. I ended up with the... BluBowl which I was pleased with. The pork belly tacos were not as good. The food wasn’t very filling. Prices are well pricedso we could have ordered something else if we wanted to eat more. It took quite a while to receive our food after ordering. Ourserver was good and delivered good service. I’m not local, so this probably wouldn’t be somewhere I will make a point to goagain. Read more
Arrived at location for magical dining experience (which means a modified cost and menu to experience the restaurant in hopes... you will return). Our server was polite and super sweet. Food was good. However, I would definitely NOT pay regular fullprices for the meal. We ordered the Caesar salad and sushi. Sushi was dry and Caeser was basic. For the main dish we orderedswordfish with baby potatoes and asparagus. This dish was very tasty. Had two different deserts the Oreo and Key Lime Trifle.These were both average. Read more
Got there at open. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Excellent Bloody Mary (they make their own mix-get it with the cucumber... vodka) Fantastic burger- SO tasty. Very clean, bright. Perfect for brunch with friends. Read more
Enjoyable food, friendly staff, not good service. Okay this was my second visit. Both visits service was struggling, we had new... servers both times and they were not knowledgeable about the menu. The first visit the restaurant was out of a lot of things,the second visit we really didn't get too many recommendations. Both times weren't super busy but service was slow. We orderedoysters, they were okay. We also had the conch fritters, pork belly tacos, curried clams, Cobb salad with lobster, salmon chipsand baked fontina - all pretty tasty. Overall there's better options, it's not too bad if you're okay with inconsistent service- our server was friendly just her first day and no one really helping her, no manager stopped by. As a hospitalityprofessional many steps were missed. I hope they get better. Read more
I’m here to warn anybody that is looking to dine in for a filling meal and doesn’t want to break the bank in the process..... because believe me when I tell you that you WILL leave hungry and if not, you WILL have to shell out and arm and a leg to beserved a proper meal! The decor is nice and set in a lovely spot within winter park, the staff is perfectly kind and our serverwas a joy—but I’m being completely serious when I say that after our server walked away having given us our entrees, myfriend and I broke down laughing and concluded that this is just a hangout spot for rich people who like to burn their money.The food is tasty, but definitely NOT worth the price especially with their portion sizes and plating. Some people reviewinghave even said their food was tasteless, and god forbid we had that experience for these portions with a price tag of$76–we’re lucky to have at least enjoyed the taste of what little food we were given to eat. If you’re still thinking ofstopping in for a bite, I’ll just attach these photos of their portion sizes and the price we paid and let you decide foryourself. Every time we come here we are greeted with the best hospitality and service. We’ve never had an issue regarding their... hospitality or food quality. Our past experience here we had Lindsay whom literally went above and beyond with every singlething. She’s the perfect example of why we keep returning. This is our number one go to spot on the ave and I’m alwayslooking forward to our dining experience. Their food is so fresh and top notch quality. This place will remain our go to datenight place. I've been searching for good lobster rolls and this place has the best one so far. It's a cute, well decorated restaurant in the... heart of busy and beautiful Winter Park. They have both indoor and outdoor dining options. The food is delicious. Customerservice is on point. Over all, we had a good experience. Read more
I hosted my 30th birthday brunch at blu on the avenue on October 9th and had a wonderful experience! Hillary, the Catering Sales... Director, was extremely helpful from start to finish. We were initially looking at another restaurant in their portfolio butHillary heard my vision and wish list for this event and recommended blu on the avenue instead. The staff at blu on the avenuewere so patient and kind. Unfortunately my mom was running an hour late due to a parking issue with an art festival that day,and I didn't want to start without her. Coming from a catering background myself, I know how frustrating it is for a timeline toget pushed back, but the team at blu acted like it was no big deal and even saved a few hors d'oeuvres for when my mom gotthere.
