If you’re looking for a relaxing, beautiful ambience with great food and service look no more the Hillstone Restaurant is... definitely it. They have a beautiful indoor restaurant but an even more gorgeous view outside where you get to sit and enjoy theshade of the beautiful trees, take in the bushes filled with blooming flowers, feel the fresh breeze off the lake all whileenjoying the warm pink sunsets as you’re taking a bite of their delicious appetizers and entrees. We had a lovely dinner at Hillstone on New Years Eve. We have eaten here quite a bit and we always get the same thing. This time... we tried something new. I had the pan fried snapper and my husband had the pork chop. Everything was cooked perfectly. Overall Ithink might be the most well run restaurant in Orlando. I chose this restaurant due to its rating and location. It’s definitely an upper scale establishment, with a great location... and a very sheik decor. The staff are dressed in all black entire and acting very professional, but a little in the aloofside. As I was dining alone, I choose the bar. Although it was mid-afternoon, the bar was very busy, with several noisy groupsenjoying their drinks. Not the best atmosphere for fine dining, but decided to give it a try. The house wine was interesting andwhen I asked about one, was given a tasting. I then tried their chili, only offered on weekends. It was very impressive. Thatwas followed by a chicken sandwich with fries. I enjoyed the food and wine, the service was impeccable and the lake viewpleasant. My meal and tip came to over $50.00, the most I’ve ever paid for lunch. Read more
The perfect place for a nice dinner, the restaurant vibe was perfect to keep a nice conversation while enjoying the delicious... food. We ordered some drinks as well and it was a perfect match for our entree. The host and the server were super friendly. Theview of the lake at sunset is amazing, perfect for pictures and you can also take a walk on the little boardwalk/pier they haveoutside. They have some seating area outside. It was kinda cold that day, so maybe some heaters would help as well as somelights on the seating areas closer to the lake. It'd be nice to have a drink out there while enjoying the view. Read more
Had a really great experience here. Brought my wife for her birthday and we got to have drinks behind the restaurant by the... lake. My wife loved the cocktails. The food was really great too. I had the French dip and she had the ahi tuna salad. Ourwaiter was very nice and attentive. Definitely coming back. Read more
I've been going to Houston's now Hillstone on/off forever, in various locations. I will say the service has stayed the same,... very good. However the price of their Veggie burger has gone up numerous times from $24 to $16 to $18 and this night jumped to$21.99. Now I like the quality but it is a veggie burger not meat...and I tend to top on the high side always more than 20%. Iappreciate good service but not a veggie burger being just a bit less than my mom's beautiful fish meal or a steak sitting nextto me! Anyway, enough of that... They have the option of reservations (make them early or come during off hours) and freeparking or valet. Sunday early is nice to sit outside not as cold (I have a thing about freezing cold restaurants - I had pantsand a sweater on and still froze). No shorts for me! Bring a sweater!?? The bathroom is cleaned regularly from the looks of it.They are full most of the time so if you are nervous about Covid ask about a reservation for one of the four tables outsideunder the beautiful trees overlooking the lake. Most folks tend to dress up a bit and work nights and Friday nights especially,it is packed. The food, our veggie burger is tasty but again the price has us rethinking about going again.
