Environment is nice, staff were friendly. The rolls we ordered was good. Overall a nice experience.

Decided to switch up our sushi routines and tried Hokkaido Sushi & Teppan. They have great happy hour appetizer and sushi... specials including one of my favorites, takoyaki, which was cooked to perfection with a creamy inside, super tender octopusbites inside, and a generous portion of bonito flakes on top (only thing it was missing was the Mayo on top). I tried thehibachi (they have the tables for the show but they serve it sans-show on the regular table side) and the steak was cookedperfectly medium rare, the scallops still tender, and about $5 cheaper than Kobe (though Kobe’s soup, ginger dressing, noodsand white sauce are still king). The sushi was also excellent with generous amounts of quality tuna in the tuna roll, greatconsistency and flavor on the rice, crisp tempura shrimp, and well constructed rolls. Excellent service, clean dining area andbathrooms. Only thing is it’s a bit small, I think 4-5 hibachi tables for 8 and the regular seating was about 10 tables,probably could seat 30? But they were doing a big takeout business too so you can get it to go as well. Read more

We had a LOVELY time this Saturday afternoon with our server, I unfortunately forget her name and forgot to ask again, but she... was so pleasant. Very helpful, attentive, bubbly and had no issue explaining their vast menu items to us! Tokyo roll special wasphenomenal as well as the Volcano was very light and refreshing. Good lunch menu, I grabbed two sushi rolls and have a onion soup with it. Was tasty! Service was quick, great lunch spot,... reasonably priced too. Server was working alone and she did a great job to juggle serving us and answering take out calls! Read more

I've tried a hibachi dinner with chicken and Chilean seabass. The chef's show was fun, food tasted expectedly good, the service... was prompt, and hot sake - well, hot. Happy hour ends at 6:30pm and offers some very good deals on drinks and hibachi. It's abit of a drive for me, but well worth the actual hibachi table and a show (many Japanese restaurants offer hibachi dinner cookedin the kitchen). Read more

Hokkaido is one of my kids' favorite Japanese restaurant. We have been here several times and it's been mostly a pleasant... experience. Customer service has always been friendly. I like their fried rice because they used sushi rice instead of theregular jasmine rice. Calamari are tender. We like their Takoyaki the most. Minus one star because my husband and I both feelthe fried rice and noodle are always a bit on the salty side. Steak was cooked beyond to the medium rare as requested. Read more
