First time here since under new ownership. Ordered 2 football gyros, jalapeno poppers and a Chicago Dog. For me, my gyros meat... tasted "off", as if it had been put on the flat top immediately after a burger had been cooked. Tatziki sauce didn't seem thesame. Poppers were super hot, burn the roof of my mouth hot (not spicy), which I was surprised. Chicago Dog was OK in flavor, nocelery salt on top. The dog was only room temp. This was a walk in order and take out. I live only 5 blocks from theestablishment. Will try again sometime with my old favorite, spicy chicken ranch wrap and see. Read more
They switched from Fresh cut, double cooked to frozen fries and did not lower the price. Cant blame potatoe shortage on Covid... supply chain issues. Will probably not return anymore. It was one of the best things about this place for Chicago Dogs andFries. Read more
I ordered a gyro, a polish, and six bbq wings. I get home just to realize they forgot my fries AND they gave me a Chicago style... hot dog instead of the Polish I ordered. What makes everything worse is that all of the food was nasty, ESPECIALLY the wings. Read more
I only picked up for Uber but the menu is huge. The prices were reasonable and everything smelled really good. Also they have a... lot of very yummy looking ice cream. I recommend every give it a try. Read more
Ordered a hot dog and fries. Just under $10 charged when menu added up to $6.53. There was a $.70 "customer charge" which was... ok. Sign sad "due to COVID-19, prices may be adjusted, thank you for understanding". Fries were blah and Chicago hot dog bunwas hard. Loved this place before but won't be back given this BS experience. The food overall is good but I ordered chicken enchiladas the first time and got an one inch bone in it. The second time I... ordered chicken enchiladas I got four pieces of bone in them. I ordered a patty melt one time and the burger was burned a hardchar on one edge and really dry. The only good thing on the patty melt were the grilled onions. It had no condiments on thesandwich. Been coming here off & on for the last 15+ years or so and have always had a pleasant experience. Can't remember exactly when... the current owner took over but this used to be just a Chicago type grill but as of maybe 8-9 years now, the menu also has somegood Mexican/SW eats added to it. Whenever I get that Droopy's craving, everything is always in good standing. The quality offood is good with reasonable prices, customer service is always top notch and the dining room/tables are always clean. Glad tosupport local and as long as they keep cooking up that yummy food with a smile, I'll keep coming around. Read more
