Have been to Pavillion in the past and had a pleasant experience. This most recent visit was disappointing. We had reservations... for 8pm (a Wednesday). We were not greeted when we arrived and just got a nod from afar and awkwardly waited. There was a veganpescatarian in my group and they were looking foward to the mussels that they saw while perusing the menu prior to evenarriving. When we went to order the waitress informed us that they were “out” of that dish. There were very few offeringsthat could accommodate vegan and the waitress was not apologetic or generous in offering other possibilities or even offering tocheck with the chef. After we looked over the menu we asked if scallops from the entree listed could be put on a salad( couldnot have the risotto because of the preparation). The chef agreed and the dish was presented without aesthetic appeal. They alsopriced the dish noticeably higher than the meal offering on the menu. We asked why it wasn’t priced as the other dish and sheexplained that the salad was more to prepare than the risotto and the roasted vegetable. Really? Her pretentious, aloof andunkind attitude really did not make for a pleasant evening. My dish was undercooked and needed to be sent back. We had justarrived from Logan airport and after all the stressful traffic and we were so looking forward to a fine dining experience inWolfboro. I expected excellent and friendly service from a restaurant connected to a property that boasts a Relais and Chateaurating. I have been to many R&C properties (Newport and Canada most recently) and have never had a more disappointing diningexperience. I recommend that regardless of the time of day, guests should always enjoy lovely service with their diningexperience. Two of us dining ended at $180. We really wanted to leave satisfied, did not happen. Perhaps better training for thestaff on how to create a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere, even when things go wrong. It certainly would have Read more

Just a word of caution if you try to walk in. Due to the great reviews, wanted to stop in for a drink and check out the... place/menu. Went in on a Wednesday night around 8pm. Place looked about 50% full. Was told by the bartender every seat at thebar was reserved and to check with the host but would figure something out. When the host arrived i asked if we could sit at theempty seats next to the bar, was told those are reserved for folks who might want a drink after dinner and no effort was made tofind us a seat. Was one of the most awkward exchanges i have ever had in a restaurant and i worked in the business for 15 years. Read more

If you are in town it’s a must. Service was amazing. Food was fantastic. The pork belly/watermelon appetizer was tops.... Everything else was great too. Every meal out should be as good as this one. Read more

Charming aesthetic, lovely staff, and delicious food. We ate family style, sharing about 2/3 of the menu; they coursed it for us... beautifully! The entire experience was a 10/10. We can’t wait to come back! Read more

Our first visit and we will return. Portions are enough to share, seasoned, (no salt/pepper needed on table) generous pours and... smiling servers. We asked for a change in setup in one of our dishes and the kitchen easily accommodated our request which weappreciated. Interesting WBTG selection. Restrooms sparkled, patrons were smiling and happy. Our server and the kitchenbeautifully timed our courses, we were not rushed nor did we experience long pauses. Kudos to the communication. We started outoutdoors which was lovely, by the time we rec'd our main the temperature had dropped considerably and we were accommodatedindoors for dessert which we appreciated. Whilst quietly dining outdoors, a very nervous woman approached our table and askedabout the weather, we thought she was a patron deciding if they wanted to sit in or out. We pleasantly replied it was gettingchilly/breezy and it appeared we offended her, her reply was "WE can't control that!" and she briskly walked away, pacing backand forth on her mobile. She seemed very upset, I wanted to go apologize if I had said something wrong to her but my husbandtold me to let it go. We very much enjoyed our fist visit to The Pavilion and look forward to bringing out of town gueststhere. Thank you to the entire staff of The Pavilion. Read more

The pavilion is a breath of fresh air for a sleepy town. Higher end food with phenomenal service only made better by an... incredible drinks. Don’t hesitate to sit at the bar either, the service and bar tender are just as great as the normal waitstaff. The Chef brings in a lot of unique flavors and textures to his meals. I Highly recommend splitting a few small platesand one entree. While we didn’t have room for deserts, but they sure looked tempting. The environment keeps you looking aroundfor hidden gems everywhere. It has a newly refurbished rustic feel to the restaurant. We spent around $120 for 2 people withdrinks and tip(worth every penny).
