Great service by the waitresses! Wish they did have liquor but think their license should be coming in soon. The look, ambiance... and dishes were yummy and not huge portions, which works great! The food at Al Toro is really delicious! I had steak Nachos which tasted really good. It had a good amount of steak, cheesy,... with jalapeños, and everything else in it. For the main course I ordered steak tacos, it?s 4 per order. These were so good, asit had cilantro and onions along with small cut pieces of steak. The steak is really juicy and flavorful. Horchata drink andagua de Jamaica drinks were delicious too. All in all, it?s a great place for Mexican food and the prices are fair. Service wasexcellent too. Read more
First off the pina colada is to die for, DELICIOUS! the waiter was super nice, she was friendly and fluent in Spanish and... English super helpful. Good, but I wish I knew a few things before coming here. Some family and I needed a place to go for some drinks and a nice meal... and decided to come here for a new experience. The ambiance was great! Plenty of space and very clean. However, when we orderedwanted to order drinks after being seated, they told us their liquor license wouldn't be around for another month. Why couldn'tthey have had a sign up that told customers of this beforehand? However, when I ordered the horchata instead, it was verypleasant and flavorful. So they get a pass there. We later ordered some guacamole to start of and that had its own issue. Itwas straight from a package and dressed up with tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. Most packaged kinds will have a shine that comesfrom added egg whites, which was extremely obvious with this one. I saw from other photo references that a server would make itright in front of you at your table. Another disappointment, but we still had our entrees. The main course saved the meal. Weordered a fajita platter, a chicken quesadilla, and a beef Chimichanga. The platter and the quesadilla were well made andpresented nicely. Though I noticed my chimichanga was a bit on the small side. I'm not sure if that might have been from fryingit or not, but I feel like I should have gotten my money's worth with something a little bigger. I was far more disappointedwith the beans, which I thought were on the blander side. Overall, I would want to try this place again. Maybe see how the restof the menu turns out and see if they're able to improve further. Next time, I hope to give a much more disserving score. Read more
My best friend and I stopped for dinner and it was a wonderful experience. I started with the Horchata and can I just say it was... the best one I've had. It was absolutely delicious. We started with cheese nachos. Just scrumptious. My friend ordered thechimichanga and she absolutely loved it. I got the tostadas carnitas that was delicious. This place is no joke, the amount of heart you taste in their food & in their service is so rare now a days! We looked at... reviews of similar restaurants in the area and figured to try this place out knowing the others are kinda mediocre - it wasbeyond worth it! Started off with the chicken flautas - amazing, fried perfectly, stuffed & sauces were great. Had steak,carnitas & shrimp tacos - ALL SO AMAZING & the sauces they give with it! Tres leche is the most homemade & warm dessert we'vehad at a restaurant. & maybe better than the food was the service, so friendly but yet so respectful & kind. They also had livemusic which was a great mix of Spanish music, at a great & entertaining volume. Will definitely be back & hope they're aroundfor long time! Read more
