Former J.J. Bitting, this local bar and grill type estaishment offers a pretty decent assortment of food and a bar with its own... brewed beer. They also sell some regular domestic beer varieties like Corona and Bud Light. It's undoing a change right now withlots of cosmetic upgrades and an outside deck which looks to be a future biergarten style exterior. Read more
My mom and best friends hosted my bridal shower at JJ Bitting. They had recently changed owners and I was nervous about that ... but they honored everything the previous owners had confirmed and exceeded every single expectation. The food was delicious andservice was also amazing. The ambience was really relaxed but still polished and unique. I am not sure if the new owners arestill hosting events but they are renovating the patio, which is going to be amazing and the food truly was very good so we willdefinitely be back for dinner and drinks! Really like the ambiance here but the food and service didn't impress me. Came here for lunch to catch up with some friends. We... were seated right away with our reservation but wasn't visited by a server for quite a while to order drinks. I had the frenchonion soup to start with. It was the only thing I would reorder or recommend from what we had. I got the pulled pork sliders andmy friend ordered the cheesesteak sliders so we split them. They were both just "ok" taste wise - it very small and not filling.Both did not come with a side included. Also pictured is the veggie burger and chili, again both decent. I would visit again totry the beer/beer flights & drink but it would probably be only for that. Read more
Stopped in for a quick lunch while in the area. We were looking for a good sandwich and landed here. Wanted to try the rooftop... deck but it was a really windy afternoon so stayed indoors. Ambience is "rustic" but maybe that's part of the charm. Weordered two sandwich platters and they did not disappoint. I had the grilled chicken sandwich - and I didn't check the menuclosely so was happily surprised when my sandwich arrived with BACON too! It was delicious. My daughter had the 1/2 lb. burgerwith cheddar and she was very satisfied as well. Waffle fries were crispy and very flavorful. (Cole slaw and pickle yummytoo!) A really great meal. Been here a few times over the years and yesterday was a particularly enjoyable visit . The owner/ his wife were extremely... friendly. We sat outside on the roof deck which was awesome and you got to hear/ see the trains come by. Very comfortable andgood service. Tasty bar food. I don?t drink but my one friend said his beer was excellent. Will definitely be back again soon:) Read more

Everything thing was good, the food, the service, the atmosphere and of course the beer. Wings were well cooked and nice and... spicy like we ordered them. Also had fried pickles and tater tots. Had the buffalo burger which was juicy / tasty and the wafflefries were nice and crispy. Tried two different IPAs and the brown ale, all were solid. Very nice building (renovated oldbrick) gave it a lot of character. Read more
Same great tasting beer is still here. Really appreciative that the new owners preserved the same recipe I have known for over... 20 years. We had the nachos and they were kind of eh. But the worst part of the night was the aggressive staff. Someone came tous on our way out and tried to dictate to us how we should go home. We were totally fine but the guy who worked there would notlet up even after I politely declined. Absolutely rude and over stepped his boundaries. Never experienced this in any bar orrestaurant I have ever been to. We are very turned off by this treatment. It did not at all feel like a concern for our safetybut worry for covering their own liability. Really shocked how forceful the guy was about how we should go home. Veryuncomfortable experience not making me want to come back with the way this place is now being run. Read more
