The vibe here is great! Matt, Kyle, and G took good care of us during our visit. The cocktails were really good especially the... smoked old fashioned and the espresso martini. We got a few things to try from the happy hour menu. The steak bites, fries,garlic shrimp, and mushroom dip were all prepared well. They have an enclosed patio with DJ as well. As a frequent customer here, I argue that Chop is probably the best steakhouse in Vaughan. The food is always great, fresh and... made to perfection! Had a really good experience. The service was really good, although I believe they were short of staff when we went. Beer menu... was decent, pretty standard. Food was really good, although my steak came a little more cooked than I wanted, however; thesteak bites that we ordered as starter with fried (shown in the pictures) were perfectly cooked. I went back and forth with myself contemplating if I should write a review or not, but after speaking with a friend about my... experience during Fathers Day weekend; I decided to write a review. I can't remember the name of our waitress, but she was verykind to us. I've read reviews about the terrible service, but fortunately our waitress was great. UNFORTUNATELY, the food wasTERRIBLE... and by terrible, I mean TERRIBLY SALTY!!! and I mean everything!!!! My boyfriend and I ordered the same meal....Caesar salad, steak and mashed potatoes. The Caesar Salad was incredibly SALTY!!! Never in my life have I ever had a Caesar thattasted like nothing but pure salt. The mashed potatoes were incredibly SALTY, and last but not least, the steak was THE WORSTsteak that I've ever had in my entire life! I asked for medium rare, and I received a rare steak, my boyfriend ordered a mediumwell and he received a medium rare. I can handle a rare steak, BUT again, it tasted like nothing but pure salt!!! This was thefirst time that my boyfriend and I have went to this restaurant; therefore we opted not to complain to our waitress, and justdecided to never go back to this restaurant again. It could've been an "off night" with the Chef, but the food was sounderwhelming and intensity salted, that I can't bring myself to go back there. One of the best restaurants ????. The service was exceptional. I didn't make any reservation and was seated quickly. Perfect for... both a night out with friends and dates. The steak was amazing. It was so tender! They served wonderful mashed potatoes with it and I could not get enough of them. The... best was the service, though. Don't get me wrong; my girlfriend and I savored every bite, but every time we go we get amazingservers. This past time was Daniella (who gave us permission to use her name and picture) and even though it was super busy thatnight, she was always there for us when we needed her and never intrusive. Went on a Sunday evening. The place was quite full already even though it was a bit early. The ambience/atmosphere is nice and... gives the feeling of being at a fancy restaurant. Plenty of seating, with heated patio seating available as well. We orderedtwo items - one of them was good, but the other - Chop burger was cold. We sent it back but the replacement was cold as well.Ruined the evening for us. As the name suggests, order only the steak. Be careful if you order anything apart from that. Notsure if we will visit again. Even if we do, will most definitely NOT order the burger. Nor will we recommend it to anyone. Read more
