My review is based on takeout. Service was quick. Had the Golden Spicy Salmon Roll and the Maki combo. Food was good and... reasonably priced. The soy sauce was unusually salty. Read more

Decided to have a la carte instead of the usual all you can eat. Food is prepared differently, but not as many selection when... compared to all you can eat menu. Bit on the pricey side, but the food is fresh. Nice atmosphere and places for large groups. Read more

The place was full for dinner and seems popular with people, none-the-less we got a seat right away. I liked the idea of... Japanese and Thai AYCE, however we ordered mostly the more Japanese dishes. The Thai dishes looked fine, just looked a bitfilling if you?re trying to sample the menu. The sushi and sashimi were great and the meat items were just as good. The servicewas quick and we got our orders quicker than most AYCE places. It is a bit pricey when you compare it to others so eat by valueto get your money?s worth. Read more

Not authentic Japanese cuisine. Food feels cheap, but at a high price. Ordered Pad Thai to start. Plate was completely saturated... in sauce. No peanuts added, when asked server said they do not have such luxury. Tried Ramen but had a strange odor and cheapinstant noodles. Finally got a sushi plate. Sushi was OK at best, but not what you'd expect from a place at this rating. Seemslike this place used to be good pre pandemic but the new ownership is a sinking ship. Spend your hard earned dollars somewhereelse. Read more

Looking for a top-notch AYCE in Vaughan? Well, look no further than ICHIKI. In case you'd like more than Japanese, it has Thai... too. If you'd like to order at your own pace, they use tablet menus. And if you wish orders would all show up at your table, I'dsay come here for a pleasant meal experience. We were more than happy to try their less common AYCE items such as therefreshing beef & butterfish tataki with ponzu sauce, and the smoky beef torched sushi. Their sashimi tasted fresh and pieceswere cut in good size portions. Hot takoyaki balls, crispy coconut shrimps and satay chicken skewers were all on point so we gota second serving. Their grilled squid was fairly tender and flavorful too. Other typical items were on the menu, and we couldn'tresist the desserts such as fried milk even after a full meal. Good thing we made a reservation because it was completelypacked! Once seated, our service was attentive and expeditious in this modern looking restaurant. We didn't wait more than a fewminutes before our dishes started to arrive steadily. It's true they charge a few bucks more than usual AYCE but we felt themeal was well worth it. ICHIKI offers decent Japanese & Thai fare. So how did a star go missing in this review? Our sushi rollswere a little sloppy but hopefully this was just an off-night. There were plenty of more exciting items to avoid fillingourselves on rice in rolls! Read more

Food was good, little on the pricy side. Wasn't too happy about "all-you-can-it" as the only option available. Maybe because it... was Mother's day weekend. Overall good service, could work on cleanliness a little more. One of the orders had to be placedagain as they somehow missed it. Busy place. Read more

Really great place to go out with your family or friends! Absolutely love their sushi and how fast their service is! Super fresh... and delicious! This is our go to place for all you can eat sushi. Everything is great but some of their staffs are really rudespecially during the last hour before closing, other than that it?s a great place. Read more

Where do I begin? Ichiki has been my go to sushi spot for all you can eat since my family and I discovered it about 4 years ago.... It remains our favourite spot EVER and has yet to be beaten? It?s a bit pricey, but the most you?ll end up paying is $42.93 (taxincluded for a regular weekend dinner price at most, & lunch prices are even cheaper, although you get less menu options). It isdefinitely worth the price. I usually get my money?s worth through eating about 35 pieces of sashimi alone (not including allthe sushi I eat, etc.)! They never shrink portion sizes either, what you order is what you get, so they don?t really seem to tryand cheat you out by giving you smaller and smaller portions as some other places do. The food is always amazing quality, theportions are large, and the service is usually very fast! I have brought friends and family here, all of whom have returned toIchiki as repeat customers multiple times ? even sometimes without me present! Unashamedly, I have been multiple times in thepast two months, and I crave it almost everyday. My favourite roll is the firework roll: it?s like a warm, spicy huh for yourmouth! The sashimi is always of excellent quality, buttery and melt-in-your-mouth with excellent fresh flavours (even on busynights like a Saturday!). It is my favourite place to eat after a heavy lifting day in the gym. Not pictured: Ichiki?s iconicshort ribs. If you go, you *must* try them. They are a staple for anyone?s all you can eat experience! The first time my brotherand I had Ichiki, we each had about 25 short ribs! The rice is also amazing, I can?t describe how moist (?) yet chewy it is.Like proper fried rice, since I know some places (especially takeout places) tend to have very dry fried rice. There are 5options of rice: plain Japanese, chicken, beef, shrimp, and pineapple fried rice. I recommend all, but especially the chickenfried rice! Again, great portion sizes and *actual* chunks of chicken, not dry or too tiny. As Read more
