"Kibo" means hope. And if you're hoping for tasty takeout sushi, this is the place for you! Kibo Sushi has expanded quickly... with over 30 franchise locations in the GTA. Some have compared it to the McDonald's of sushi. So what's their secret sauce?They pride in using fresh ingredients, prepped to create one-of-a-kind rolls, and serving the food with smiles. From myexperience, they stay true to their motto. The hope is that working hard will allow them to be rewarded. Kibo's grand makioptions are no joke, and my favorite is Aburi Scallop Dragon Roll: a dynamited rolls topped with scallops, slightly torched toelevate a savoury umami mouthful. Takoyaki Tempura & Seaweed Wrap apps are also on point. All of their grand maki aregenerously prepped; some come with soft-shell crab or lobster tail as well. As another example: the Weston Roll is a uniqueoffering for this location by Weston Rd with cream cheese, crabmeat, red pepper & avocado stuffed into a huge deep fried roll.Creative, and somehow the flavours work for a delicious meal. For a quick bite, there are daily specials including a DynamiteRoll + Salmon Sushi combo. Fresh ingredients shine through. I have ordered several times through Uber. Always excellent quality and good portions. It?s a bit pricy but worth it!

Woodbridge is really lacking a good sushi place, most of them are "average" at best. So when I saw a 4.6 for this place, it... definitely caught my eye. Why only ???? It's NOT because I was given a "20 min" estimate for the food to be ready, while I hadto wait another 30 mins in the restaurant. And it's not because 1/3 of my order is not what I actually ordered. So why a 3-starrating? I wanted to be excited about this place, however, once again, most of the rolls were very "average". Aburi ScallopGragod and Lobster Rainbow were ok, but the rest - not so much. Salmon on sushi is very thin. Maybe one day we'll get a truly4.6 place in Woodbridge, but unfortunately for now it's still 30 min ride each way elsewhere in Richmond Hill. Read more

Finally a fresher option for sushi in Woodbridge. For convenience and quality, Kibo will be my go-to spot. I?ve ordered the... salmon+sashimi combo ($16.95) twice and it did not disappoint. The sushi is really packed with rice but that?s easily forgottenwhen you take note of their fresh fish. Loved the salad dressing and their miso soup is good. Our go to restaurant in Woodbridge for Sushi. The staff is so wonderful, service is top notch. The sushi menu has ample of... choices, try their torched scallops roll called Aburi, it?s their signature dish and taste so good. The vegan Mochi is deliciousas well.
