The three stars is for servers it was decent service respectful. But the food is a different start I usually get the Louisiana... chicken sub we used to have it in the steam table soaking in the sauce no longer they do that he lost his taste and sloppinessnot doing that and also not making it a hot sub yeah to warm the chicken up in the microwave but it's not the same no I wouldnot be running back for it no longer mr. Sub changed a lot do you need to go back what made them one of the best subs I don'tthink I will run back for Subs very quickly. I have been eating mr. Sub for over 30 years and this store should be taken over by head office? very poorly run as the bread... was hard and not soft and fresh like most of the locations I usually go to. This Mr Sub needs to change its hours of operation they ARE NEVER OPEN!!! Why it closes early on the weekends baffles me!! And... yes I too have experienced on MANY occasions being denied a GRILLED sub because the machine was already cleaned before closing!!Don?t turn it off or wait until you actually close the store to clean the machine... it?s very simple. I have no issue with the food at this location, but my last visit was terrible as the employee saw me about to enter the store... and she quickly turned the neon 'open' sign off and locked the door. She clearly saw me and it was about 20 minutes before thestore was supposed to close (7pm). They should really hire new employees who can do their job, or change the store hours. Read more
it's unfortunate I have to give this place 1 star because it's the first time I've been to this franchise and was told I am not... allowed to get "extra" toppings. I asked for extra mushrooms and was told that I am not allowed to do that. The bread was harderthan any other Mr.Sub I've been to and the toppings weren't even cut properly just had these giant slices that looked like a kidcut them. The sandwich artist then put next to no sub sauce when I asked her to so I told her to put more and she gave anotherlook before proceeding. I'm pretty sure this isn't allowed but maybe the pandemic has caused them to do this. Hopefullymanagement sees this and fixes this before more customers decide not to return to her establishment. I really haven't been to a Mr. Sub in several years because I felt that there product and service was sliding downhill fast! But... after going to the location on major McKenzie just east of Weston Rd twice in as many weeks, I must say that I am pleasantlysurprised. My first visit a couple of weeks ago, I ordered the peppercorn steak sub. The service was great, the workers werevery clean and courteous and the sub was good. On my second visit I ordered 3 meatball subs. The woman working there advised meright away that she wasn't sure if she had enough meatballs to make 3 subs, but she could make 2 for sure. After making thefirst two she realized that she did have enough so she asked did I want to stick with the alternative I ordered or did I stillwant the meatball. Again, she was very polite, clean, and professional and the subs were all good as well! I'm happy I decidedto give them another shot. Keep up the great work and see you soon! Read more
