We got vegeterian food ordered 1) Veg Manchurian 2) Veg hakka chowmin noodles. Mistake: They made it non-veg with chiken. we... live 25 KM one way from that place. We called the place and told the guy that you have made a mistake in the order and you havespoiled our dinner as we dont eat Non-veg, the guy said i cannot say unless i see it weather it was Veg or non veg, we said okgive us your cell number or email address and we will send you a picture. he said he dosent have a Cell or Email address for usto send him the picture and we have to drive 25 KM one way just to show him that he has made a mistake and he will not credit usunless we return him the food. Also he said he will not be able to recognize the food ingredients he makes in the picture. weare a long time customer and he knows us but then too he chose to look at the picture this way and loose us for ever. so idecided to write this review i hope now he will be able to clearly see the picture with rest of the world. Worst Hakka ever. I'm a big fan of Hakka food, this is the worst ever. Found a piece of steel wool in the Manchurian fish. The... fish is just spicy and sour but nothing, totally different from all other Hakka stores. Read more
I?ve been here once before and I remember not buying because the woman at the front is incredibly rude and very impatient. As a... new customer who has dietary restrictions I have questions and she doesn?t wanna answer them. I decided to give them anothershot and I was disappointed again, just rushing, not wanting to help me navigate the menu. Not helping me understand what?sincluded in the lunch special so of course I feel like I got overcharged. I?m vegan so I only get veggie options, I paid $16 fornoodles, vegetables, a spring roll and a pop. If you could believe it, they also charge 75 cents for any debit transaction under$20. So basically they make an extra dollar on most every customer that walks in. I just opened my food to see what I paid for.They gave me very little veggies to eat and the noodles look bland and flavourless. I?ll attach a photo. Stopped by for lunch...ordered the Pad Thai. Service was friendly and fast. Pad Thai was somewhat disappointing - overly... sweet, heavy on the turmeric (had to be the brightest hue of yellow/orange I've ever had on a Pad Thai) and light on the meatand shrimp. There was a steady stream of customers, most of whom seemed to be regulars, so I may have just visited on an offday or gotten a dish they don't do a lot. Read more
Visited this location after a very long time ( 4 - 5 yrs ). Ordered Wonton Soup, Chiil Chicken and Chicken Hakka Noodles. What... was offered was disappointing ! Soup filled with bean sprouts, no soup water or wontons. Noodles made of Thin Egg Noodles.Chilli Chicken was a saving grace . Ghey should change name to 'Guyanaese Chinese Food' reataurant, not as Indian Hakkarestaurant. Add to their woes is lack of Hakka cooks, filled in by Nepalese cooks( who are a disaster ) . Small portions bland taste and sneaky 75 cents surcharge for using debit/credit and rude receptionist. Ordered the beef and... broccoli lunch special and wasn't impressed. There were only 2 people inside the restaurant eating during lunch rush hour.Wouldn't go back tried giving this local business support but not worth supporting again.
