Exceptional food matched only by the unparalled service. We celebrated our daughters champagne 13th birthday. From making the... reservation with Bobby, to greeting us early the day of to let us set up the room, to the service led by Jorjo the day of andfollow up afterwards.....incredible!!! We travel and eat out quite a bit and can confidentily say this was the best experiencewe have every had. The room was gorgeous - the 'family' at Zafferano (and they really did treat us like family) were generousenough to book us the private room. We had dedicated staff, a coat closet for our guests, separate tables set up for gifts, andfor cake and some non-alcholic pink champagne (which my daugheter was trilled about because she really wanted to have a sip ofchampagne or her special champagne birthday - and the team made it such a spreciate experience for her - beautiful champagneglasses, arranged beautifully and with such care on her cake table). I have never had a more attentive, professional, KIND &ATTENTIVE restaurant staff. Most are tooo attentive, and so professional that there is no genuine care...at Zafferano we reallyfelt like we celebrated with the Zafferano 'family. We weren't rushed out the door (even though we were one of the last toleave), noone rushed us to get the bill or stood over us waiting for payment...Jorgo very discreetly pulled me aside and walkedme through it. And we were so 'pampered' that Jorjo even saved one of the few special decorations/macaroons on my daughter'scake to place specifically on her piece of cake and my own - that's how much care he took and the attention he gave. None ofour guests had ever been to the restaurant before. They were overly impressed, couldn't stop raving about the food andservice....I think you'll be seeing alot more of them. One of my top favourite Italian restaurants in the area. My favourite dish would have to be the penne alla vodka which was... served with the perfect amount of cream and pancetta. The evenings and weekends tend to get busy so make sure to call ahead andbook a reservation. The owner and staff were pleasant and did an amazing job! Read more

Had a terrible experience here tonight. I had called and made reservations. When we arrived I was told that they cannot... accommodate us at the restaurant because of all the private parties and asked us to sit at the tent they had setup in theparking lot. After that everything went downhill. The service was extremely slow. Took over 20 minutes after sitting down tojust get a bottle of sparkling water. The wait staff were constantly going back and forth via the parking lot and the restaurantwithout properly using trays. I am not trying to be picky but I also don?t want to see an already opened bottle of water carriedacross the parking lot in someone?s hands and then brought to my table. The least you can do is to open the bottle at the table.They also brought us the wrong order that had to be changed. I asked for cheese on my pasta which showed up 15 minutes laterafter I had almost finished the entree and just to make everything better they brought out a bowl for my wife to throw herseafood shells in after we were already done with our meals. And the food was very disappointing. Both pasta dishes were verywatery and the sauce had zero taste. My penne alla vodka dish barely had any pancetta in it. We had a great dinner out here this week! Service was fantastic, atmosphere was on point and the food was really great. We got 3... salads and 2 apps and were so impressed with the salads they were super filling, and very tasty and dressed well (important forsalads!) We also had 3 pasta's and a pizza and dessert, all which were really great! Will definitely be going back. Read more

Decor is modern, rustic elements mixed with chic flair. Young, energetic staff. Modern twist to the menu selection so don't... expect chicken or veal Parmesan dishes. Arugula salad with goat cheese, sliced peaches and pecans was yummy and good portionsize. Penne alla Vodka was a good portion size however could of been elevated with shaved parmigiano cheese - the overall tasteseemed to be 'safe'. The Tiramasu was delicious. Ordered a latte and cappuccino however our drinks were forgotten and neverreceived. Veal Marsala my boyfriend enjoyed and said it was tender and found the potatoes the most delicious item of thedish. Would I go again? Perhaps if I was in the area and ordered some other dishes to give this restaurant anotherchance. Service was fair. Seemed overwhelmed, hurried, with one main waiter in charge of taking all orders in the section of adozen tables while attempting to oversee minor waiters taking direction to clear tables and drop off plates of food. We got to try the Zafferano pizza, Salmone Alle Griglia,Burratina, & the Linguine Tutto Mare E Monti! We also got to try a couple drinks that were incredible to watch while thebartender crafted them! It?s seriously a great spot to bring your friends and family to - the atmosphere of this place is reallynice. Read more

I came here with my sister and we ordered the penne al la vodka and the seafood linguine. Food was good. Service was terrible... (our waiter was a bald man with glasses). No one had come to check on our table, to fill water or bring bread. I had to flagsomeone down every time. I had placed a takeout order at the same time of ordering our meal and it was not made to order untilafter I paid the bill and was ready to go. I don?t think this restaurant is POC friendly.
