Beef soup It’s an ok place. DO NOT order Soup, if you do, ask when it was made. The place was empty for lunch and the food... still took longer then it should have. Some of the food was decent, but like I mentioned the soup was disgusting. It looked likeit was old and they just added water to it. Looked like dirty toilet water, not appealing at all. And did not taste any better.Wish I took a picture. Read more

I want to start this review off by saying, we’re from West Texas. We thrive on good, authentic mexican food. Since our move to... the east coast, we’ve struggled with finding exactly that. Until we stumbled upon this truly hidden gem. We read reviewsbefore we ever try a new restaurant, and the positive reviews of Almitas are what convinced us we should give it atry. Ya’ll!! The service was top notch, better than that of most high end chain restaurants. The food was “lick the plateclean” worthy, I had a margarita that bordered on heavenly, and then we were met with this extravagant dessert, their TresLeche. For us, this place provided food that wasn’t just good taste wise, but it went straight to our souls. So if you’rereading reviews right now, trying to find the “right” place. Stop reading. Get in your car. And GO! Read more

What an awesome hidden gem. My wife and I went on a lunch date st noon on a Friday and had the place to ourselves. A small... quaint place that only seats 22 plus around 10 at the bar. At first we wondered if they served chips & salsa and what wastaking do long. What a pleasant surprise when the waitress arrived not only with Chips & salsa but freshly made mint, orange andline water, so refreshing. My wife finally tried lingua tacos and liked then but still can't get past what they are. That saidthey were made perfectly, so tender. The tres Amigos enchilada meal was so good and not your same bland 3 enchiladas. Thebeef enchilada with the green chili was my favorite. We also tried their Pupusa combo which was good. We will be back Read more
