Good sushi, nothing special. Our server did a great job. The Wasabi Shumai appetizer was amazing!

Everyone raves about this place, for the sushi. Don?t get anything else. I made the mistake of ordering otherwise and paid for... it, literally lol. Don?t be tempted to try the others like I did, the beef bulgogi was like wet cardboard soaked in sauce.. andthe udon was even worst, it seemed like they stir fried the leftover old scraps from veggie parts they didn?t use. You can getbetter at a different restaurant. You?ve been warned. The wings were alright, too much wasabi was overwhelming. I was superdisappointed because so many people recommended this place. Not for me. Read more

Took my 13 and 16 year olds here for lunch because they LOVE sushi. Our family enjoy sushi. Woodbury has a very limited... selection of quality Asian restaurants. Recently, my go to sushi restaurant (Kyatchi in Saint Paul) closed so we were hopingthis place would fill the gap. Restaurant appearance: ok. Has the dark black and red open floor plan hip vibe. But the tabletop we were at was quite sticky. Not sure whether it?s because that?s how the tables are or whether it was caked in with stuffover the years. Service: there appeared to have 3 staff Around the dining area (2 at sushi bar). They were courteous when wedid get a hold of them. They just weren?t really receptive to serving customers it appears. Not rude nor Mean. They just wereinattentive? Once we got a hold of the server, he took our order fine. Now, it did take a LONG time for the order to arrive. Weordered Tako yaki (this came at a reasonable time (about 10 min). The rest - spider roll, spicy yellowtail roll, eel makiroll, and ikura sushi seem to take an unusually long time. (We looked around and saw maybe one or two other tables with 2 ppleach so it wasn?t because it was crowded. So this was a miss. Food taste - it was alright. Nothing to write home about. Didn?tfeel worried about food poisoning nor were we impressed. Deep fried softshelled tasted slightly old but not spoiled. Value /price We were not aware that the portions here are 1/2 the size of other Japanese restaurants we dine at even the prices did notreflect this. Kids were still hungry after the three rolls, appetizer, and ikura sushi. sonny had to go searching for a serverto order two more rolls. Overall, we will continue searching for our sushi restaurant after this experience. Sonny would giveit a 1-2 stars. He was really put off by the service and value. I?d probably give them a 2.5. Now time to get some more food.Hahaha? Read more

Always a good time with good food! My partner and I come here almost twice a month because we love it that much. We always get... their salmon skin tataki, oysters, and at least 2 rolls (not pictured). Read more

their Korean bulgogi is not Korean bulgogi. It isn?t the right piece of meat usually used, and none of this is what the... traditional food is. The orange is very random, and broccoli? my bf really liked their sushi though. But I really recommend notgetting this or the mussel. The mussel is just Japanese mayo on top of it. But the customer service was really great. Theyworked super fast, despite it being so busy. The waitresses and waiters are really good at their job. 5/5 Read more

I got there pretty late. Maybe 9:15pm. It was one of the only places still open. I wanted to get my order to go and I walked in... and the place was packed which I feel is a good sign! That must mean it?s good. They were super busy and the sign at the frontsaid to wait. Eventually a waitress came to me and lmk the bartender usually does the pickup orders and that they are out ofrice (making more, 35 minutes). That?s totally fine, I?d order stuff without rice. She was very nice and took my order and ranmy card. I waited in my car since there is not a waiting area. I came back in after 20 minutes and stood at the front for maybe7 minutes. The waitress came over and told me that pickups are at the bar (wish their sign up front directed me where to go).The lady handed me my stuff without saying much. I?d rate the food mediocre. Edamame is $6 for very little. The spring rollsare almost entirely rice noodles. Maybe a few carrot strips and a cucumber slice. That disappointed me the most. I also gotfried soft tofu in shiitake mushroom sauce and that was pretty good. I would consider giving this place another shot on a lessbusy evening. I worked in restaurants for a decade so understand a rough night and that could?ve been what it was! Read more

The perfect spicy southeast asian take on sushi. Huge fan of their dishes w/citrus flavored sauces blended with thai chilis.... Frequent this place pretty often. Have never had bad food, just slower service at times. Oysters shots ordered at extra spicyhave the perfect kick. Seafood larb overpriced but admit flavors are spot on. Skip the fried rice. Overall, portion sizes can beinconsistent and prices are above average but have found none their equal when it comes to food. Read more

Pretty average but still a good place for sushi. I noticed that the dark sauce with the cut up sprouts came with majority of the... dishes. I wish they gave us a variety of sauces other than that to give us a different depth of taste. Read more
