We , my son and I had lunch today at this location. Food and salad bar were fresh and so good. I couldn?t believe that for 20... dollars I ate and brought a doggie bag home with me. We have not been here for years. The best I can say is that all of the good things I remember about it are still there. They... also have some new menu items. We ordered the cheese curds and pierogie for an appetizer. Both were great. I also orderedFrench onion soup which was ok. It wasn?t bad but I wasn?t a huge fan of the cheese they used. I ordered chicken fingers for myentree and they were great. The one thing I like about them is that they are huge pieces of white meat chicken, not stringytenders. The service was really good and the restaurant was clean. One complaint that I have is that it is in an old house soit?s really hard to navigate with my cane. There are small steps everywhere. They do have bars on the wall to hold on to whenyou are stepping up and down but it is really challenging. Read more

Charlie Brown is a steakhouse, that is as interesting on the inside, as it is on the outside. Never have I been to a place like... this before. What makes me want to come back is to unravel the rest of the historic building and their fantastic menus. Theirfood was great and was by no means anymore expensive than a chain steakhouse restaurant. There is definitely a lot more qualityin Charlie Brown?s drink and food menu. The style inside is of an old library that looks like it was owned by a 1900 centurywealthy man. However, there is a lot in this big building. Like I wonder what?s up those stairs? It added to the experience andthe food only complimented on this unique choice of design. For starters I got their boom boom shrimp, it was so good that Iforgot to get a picture. Over the course of the next few days I had boom boom shrimp from other reputable seafood joints andwhile they were good, it just didn?t touch what I had at Charlie Browns. I?m not joking, try them yourselves. For a drink I gota blueberry mojito and even that was spectacular. I wish I knew how to make it at home. For my entree I got the Parmesanencrusted chicken that came with the salad bar. Their salad bar is pretty expansive. You have your normal salad greens, but theyalso offered cold pasta, bread, and a whole lot more. However, I really wish there was hand sanitizer and single use gloves. Isaw signs for hand sanitizer so maybe they weren?t there when I just so happened to visit. The salad bar was very great asidefrom that and I would go back. My entree was very delicious and I really enjoyed the fresh sides. It felt like a light healthytouch to the rich and succulent taste of the chicken. So after a long awaited return of coming back here...finally we went!! The appearance is still the same which me and my wife... were so happy! Love the library look in the dining area. The staff and service was great, the salad bar still great! Cold coldbeer!! My wife's and our friend's chicken dinners were great!! Now the cons Turning in to parking lot from broad st w/ no leftturn lane is dangerous, the lot behind the restaurant is small which usually doesn't allow available spaces and there wasn't. Weparked behind the property next door and the only entrance in is also an exit and a car just about blocked our way out. Mysteak I admit I asked for medium well to have room for error in assumptions they may under cook it a bit to medium which I likebut they did their job and made it medium well, so now I know to order it medium next time. So excited to try the newly reopened and refurbished historic location, and Charlie Brown's did not disappoint! Mike the manager... handled my reservation for our large group like a pro and personally greeted us when we arrived. Our server, Carmel, wasattentive and friendly. We were in a separate front room, so it was mostly private. The new decor is very familiar, butlightened up and bright and clean. A few of us had drinks at the bar when we arrived, and Mia took great care of us there. Theatmosphere at the bar was warm and inviting--a great place to unwind. The salad bar was AMAZING, and I would return for lunchjust for that. With the exception of an overcooked burger, my 14 guests were very pleased with their food. I had the queen's cutprime rib and it was cooked perfectly to my order--rare and warm. I slathered it with a generous portion of horseradish anddipped each bite into my au jus-YUM! I had to stop to eat my baked potato just to slow myself down--the skin was crispy and Iadded the butter and sour cream provided, then I ate the entire thing skin & all. Some of the entrees that my fellow dinersenjoyed were the very generous grilled shrimp quesadilla salad and the filet mignon--which was also cooked perfectly toorder. Great atmosphere great bartender and our waitress (Kara) was awesome. Garlic Parmesan crusted steak was delicious as well.... Drinks were strong and arrived quickly. The wait was about 20 minutes at 5:30 on a Tuesday really not that bad. Definitely happythey are back in business. Will visit again soon! Read more

Just reopened after pandemic. Was a 40 minute wait on a Tuesday night which tells you right there it's going to be good. Still... same ambiance it's been over the years like you are eating in the library at a mansion. All you can't eat salad bar comes withmeal. Well stocked and lots of different dressings. I found the honey lime really good. Got the siracha wings to start. Theywere meaty and crispy, but the sauce was lacking any real zing. Got the Charlie Cut prime rib with loaded potato for dinner. Wasjust like I remember, incredible. Steak was so tasty and tender. Potato was actually a little dry but still tasty. Staff wasfriendly and certainly busy as could be. If this how it is on a Tuesday, I recommend reservations if you can. Overall, it wascertainly worth the price and definitely worthy of many return trips. Read more
