Good food. Pleasant staff. Inside a gas station. Seating area was not the best. First table had a lot of flies but it was... sticky. Moved to another table and it was better. Had half a rack of barbecued ribs and baked potato. Very good. Husband had alarge portion of pulled pork barbecued. Very good. Had to take a lot home. Read more
They have excellent food and most of the staff is very friendly, however the younger girl that works the register who says she's... the owners daughter makes me not want to come here or recommend this place. She is very rude and mouthy. DO NOT TAKE YOUR OWNTRAVEL MUG IN HERE! She will charge you 2.75 for a thermos refill and get mad if you question why it's more than a normal 20 ozcoffee. Her response is I was told to charge any refill as a thermos. Mind you yesterday the old lady was very sweet and chargedme 1.39 for the same cup of coffee. This is the big issue here. I stopped in for my 30 min break. Of course It's a mortal sin to pass BBQ without eating, wouldn't want to go to hell so... naturally I must partake. The sauce is on the zippy side but tasty, ribs are fall off the bone, chicken a touch dry but stillyum, and the pork and brisket, well yup yum. Pasta salad I'll pass on next time but good beans. So my only complaint which iswhy I didn't give full stars, is no truck driver showers, even if they had just one or two would really be nice. Truck parking arrived at 8:20pm few spot available. The food is amazing with decent size sides for nice price. I've tried the... half chicken and it was Juicy not dry. Tonight was half rack ribs. It fall off of the bone delicious. Read more
A hidden gem! Not many good BBQ joints in PA but this place makes me feel like I'm back down south. A little hole in the wall... joint about a mile off the highway in the middle of no where and those are the best! Good prices for BBQ and all the meats weretender and the corn bread, Mac and cheese and bbq beans were terrific! Read more
My Husband found this place and we drove from Clearfield PA where we stopped for the night. It?s not esthetically attractive... inside; but the food is the star, supported by hardworking staff. My husband devoured a pull pork sandwich and we shared the BBQRib platter. He felt the pulled pork should be mixed with the sauce & warm; not just have a squirt of sauce on top, plus the bunshould be toasted. The coleslaw was rubbery & bitter. The beans had an interesting spice flavor-clove? and were delicious.Cornbread good-not dry?But the Ribs were hot, fall off the bone Delicious!!! It was a great Dinner overall! Read more
I've passed this place about 15 times and it is usually full. There are about 15 parking spots for trucks depending how other... drivers park. Parking is FREE! The restrooms are clean and they have basic convenience store amenities. Portions are good andfilling. The ribs were pretty good. A little dry on one rib but otherwise fall off the bone tender. Their award winning bbqsauce is quite delicious and I wouldn't mind buying some bottled. Fries are good and beans are as delicious as others haveraved. They have at least 3 different beans in it with bacon and sausage. I would definitely stop here again if I can find aspot. Staff was very pleasant and service was fast as well for my order. Read more
Traveled past Gio's many times, decided this time to stop. Place looks like a busy truck stop/gas station, but the food is... really good. Diverse menu, with ribs, brisket, chicken and fried catfish on it, at reasonable prices. Plenty of seating, and thecounter and kitchen staff work quickly and efficiently. Brisket was tender and tasty, although the huge size and the plentifulcoleslaw topping made it messy to eat; sandwiches come with a fork & knife, to make it easier to eat. Read more
