Food was delicious, service was prompt and kind. I asked for a sandwich recommendation and I was not disappointed! The philly... was quite tasty. My husband got the chicken friend steak which was also very good, terrific gravy. I love the aesthetic and thename of this place so much I got a hoodie for my collection! Overall great experience. Next time we are visiting from the eastcoast we will definitely make a trip to visit again! Read more
Food was amazing and bloody marys were perfect!
The worst thing about this restaurant is that I will probably never come back because I live out of state. We stopped here after... a wedding and a bit hung over. I walked in and saw the Bloody Mary special, and they took our drink order before we even had atable. Did I mention the staff is awesomely sarcastic? I want the owner to know that I was there ths morning August 21, 2022 andthe servers were fantastic and kept making me laugh. Keep in mind that you may have a bit of a wait for food as the staffengages with customers. We were there 45 minutes before we got our food, but it was well worth it. Amazing blueberry pancakeswith freshly picked blueberries, incredible gravy on the biscuits and the chicken fried steak. Oh, and later when I ordered alarge mimosa, they served it in a pint glass with a spash of OJ. I know that may sound dive bar like (it is), but it wasfantastic. We had bacon-wrapped filets with french fries and green salads. Tasty and cooked well, would def recommend and go back if I find... myself in Woodland again! The decor was interesting too, had a very kitschy small-town bar vibe. Read more
Comfortable, friendly and clean, The food is top-notch. I had the All-You-Can-Eat-Fish_N-Chips. It was made from fresh fillets... of fish, not ground-up bits. It was hand-dipped in a very light and crispy coating that didn't separate from the fish. We alsoordered a bacon cheeseburger which was excellent. I highly recommend this place! Read more
Loved it! Stopped in because I saw a bunch of Jeeps in the lot. Had a great steak and egg breakfast with friendly company at the... bar. The Jeeps were the staffs rigs. Very friendly atmosphere and got to watch the game. I asked for a custom alcohol free drinkand the bartender mixed it right up. Also entered the football pool for next wesk. We dined here as it was recommended by a friend. Mr. Wonderful likes chicken fried steak, I mean, he *really likes chicken fried... steak and this place is known for theirs. Fat Moose Bar and Grill is just that, a bar and grill. The interior is eclectic andhomey. We believe that most of the patrons dining were regulars. As I have mentioned before, I?ll mention it again; this is agood sign! If you can keep your locals coming back for more, you?re doing something right. And these folks are doing somethingright! My husband ordered an Alaskan Amber Ale and I had a boozy coffee. They are very generous with their pours! Which wasappreciated because I was chilled to the bone, that beverage warmed me up in a flash! Lauri was our server and she embodieswhat it takes to be an exceptional server. We felt welcome and catered to! She did not miss a beat and truly enriched our diningexperience. So let?s talk about what we?re here for? the chicken fried steak! To begin with this thing was ginormous! Mostnormal people could turn it into three or four meals! Mr. Wonderful ate the entire portion in one sitting. So to date, this isthe best Chicken Fried Steak that he has had the pleasure of devouring. In closing we agree with our friend?s recommendation todine here. On a trip up the west coast my wife and I swung by this amazing little bar. The food was typical pub food, but it was cooked to... perfection and the decor was super cool (if ya like Moose). The staff was really friendly and this would be a great place towatch a game. Wish it was closer to me on the East Coast or I would be a regular. Read more
