A friend of ours from LA recommended this spot. I was picking up some items as a gift for someone I was visiting in Santa... Barbara. This was such a friendly and comfortable space to visit. Almost everybody walking in was speaking in Farsi to theowners. The owners were so friendly and took their time to speak to everybody and smiled and joked. It was such a well runfamilybased business. $2 extra for rice on a kabob plate and $2 extra if you want to eat in. The only extra you get for eating in is 4 slices of... bread, no butter cheese or greens. And the food wasn't as good as I remember. Three people eating in is an extra $12. Hopefullythey can make their menu and kabob plate reflect a small little store and not charge as a full Persian restaurant. Read more
Awesome tasty dishes with warm bread
We got their combo kabab and it was good. Also got their crispy rice, gheime was ok but ghormeh was not very good. I also got... their dizzi and it was just ok. For the price i would say there can be a better food. The service was good though. Read more
The first time I ever had sangak was today at Asal. I had no idea this bread even existed and now I want no other for the rest... of my life! The people who work here are so kind and friendly and were very gracious to me when I stopped by today to buy thesangak to go. I'll be returning soon for a meal, if they can make bread like this I can't wait to try their food. Read more
Service is awesome. Food is average, koobideh is has a weird taste doesn't taste like regular koobideh. We were greeted as soon... as we walked in. I would highly recommend the Tadik with chymee. The sangak is to die for. Read more
RECOMMENDED: we had a very good experience with Asal Bakery. We were so hungry and a friend of us recommended us to go there.... Their staff are amazing. Very kind, respectful and welcoming. We ordered Kotlet Sandwich and it was amazing. I stronglyrecommend that. Read more
