I have debated for quite a while about writing this review-5 months to be exact-for the reason that Monty's used to be our go-to... place in Woodland Hills. So,on 19th of May, without hesitation, we made a reservation to celebrate our friend's bday {now lwonder if we had to find out first what temper Ms.Vicki was in, before we decided to make the reservation}. We were all in goodspirits, but the moment we sat at our table we sensed a distinct lack of enthusiasm.. Ms.Vicki - our server- a hard-faced,never smiled, beyond snobby, unhelpful lady, made us feel unwelcome. We let her insufferably rude behavior pass because wedidn't want her to ruin our friend's special day, even when she cleared before we had finished eating, even when she brought thecheck without letting us order desserts !!! We went to Montys Steakhouse to celebrate a birthday recently in Woodland Hills. I never got the chance to go while it was in... Westwood so this was long overdue. Easy to find and close to the 101 Freeway. The atmosphere is very nice and feels like it'sstill in the 1960s with decor and great music playing. Food quality is excellent as was the service. Everything was top notchincluding Cocktails. We had Steaks, Lamb Chops, Chile, Au Gratin Potatoes, Shrimp Cocktail, French Onion Soup, and Fudge Sundae.The menu is loaded with other great items as well. Had a wonderful time. Parking is available on the street and Valet. I willdefinitely come back again. Highly recommended. Read more
Had an excellent wedge salad, also had the NY strip, and garlic mashed potatoes. Very good food, excellent Martinis.
Our server was excellent and food was pretty good, but it was hard to enjoy the meal because it was hot, the fans didn’t work,... and we were being eaten alive by mosquitos. We sat outside to reduce risk of exposure to Covid, and I was surprised that theydidn’t have better ways to handle the heat and bugs. A couple floor level fans probably would’ve helped a lot, but theydidn’t have any way to help us except to bring rosemary to the table as a deterrent (didn’t work). I figured since they havebeen open during the pandemic and built out a beautiful outdoor space, they would also have some simple ways to reduce thesetypes of issues. I have lived in Woodland Hills for 7 years and never went to Monty’s. I regret this because the experience was literally….... Fantastic!!!! Wife Bday, we took the 2 kids and let me tell you I now know that this will be a place that our family will begoing to from now on. Bone in Rib-eye, Bacon wrapped shrimp ( Monty’s Special ) Lamb shanks, and Sole….. Best Place in theValley to eat….???? Read more

Great atmosphere, food is good, not exceptional but good. Love their salads on special. Service is good as long as your party is... 6 or less. Last time it was 12 of us, the server was overwhelmed. We love this place. There are some small shortcomings, but whois perfect except my wife? Read more
