Food was good, no complaints. My complaint is with the single use plastics. They proudly claim ?no plastic utensils? on the... website and even have it on check out. But when I got my 4 sandwich meals, they included EIGHTEEN single use plastic wrappedplastic utensils. Really really disappointing. I didn?t even enjoy my meal because I chose this place because I was told theyare sustainable, organic, etc. May not be a big deal to some, but this matters to me and they couldn?t have missed the markmore. Was shocked when I went inside. Absolutely beautiful establishment with friendly staff and amazing food. Essence was very... friendly and helped us navigate the menu. I got the herb chicken plate and the chicken was very flavorful and moist. Myboyfriend got the sandwhich and he loved it. My patatoes were also very good as well as the Mac and cheese. I felt so healthyeating here after having a hard morning with no sleep and Mc Donalds for breakfast. Read more
Great selection of healthy/organic foods, amazing atmosphere, and overall a very good experience. The food is always fresh and... the staff are all wonderful, never had an issue. Their desserts look insanely good, haven?t tried it cause I don?t eat sugar asmuch, but wow! Highly recommend! Read more
The best salads ever! Fresh, crisp and so naturally tasty. Pictured is the local beet salad and had the seared tuna salad last... night. Both were amazing with a glass of Hess Chardonnay. The dressings are the best. No crazy vinegar that bites your tongueoff and leaves you praying you won?t wake up with a huge canker sore in the morning. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Read more
Really nice atmosphere. A place somewhat similar to a Corner Bakery restaurant, I thought. Outside dining available. Ordered... the Sea Bass (farmed). Fish was nicely cooked. Didn?t like the hollandaise sauce it came with though. Cauliflower rice wasokay but did have to spruce it up by adding a little hot sauce. Bread was cold, hard and plain. So didn?t even bother eatingit. Charred broccoli was good. Hubby said his burger was meh. Nothing to rave about. Does look like a kind of a boringburger in my photo. Nothing like the picture they had in the restaurant. Fries were really good though. I?d give this place3.5 stars. For me, it was a healthy meal all in all. UPDATE: returned to Urban Plates and got the Cobb Salad with Chicken. Enjoyed it very much?it was fresh and delicious. The slice of bread I received was good too. On the soft side like it shouldbe.
