We moved up here permanently from the Chicago area and were looking for something other than your usual fish fry and bar food.... This place did not disappoint. The walleye piccata was outstanding and the chicken Marsala was a unique spin on what we?ve hadin Chicago area and it was delicious. Servers name was April and she was so friendly, very attentive and personable!! Katy, oneof the owners chatted with us for a few minutes despite the incredible amount of people there. It?s not any pricier than anyother place that serves upscale food. We will be back with the Italian mother in law in 2 weeks! Read more

Dinner last night at Anthony?s Ristorante was AMAZING! The Walleye Piccata was soooooooo good. Perfectly prepared - seriously... the best Walleye I?ve ever had. My boyfriend really enjoyed the Seafood Alfredo. Loaded with large shrimp and scallops andnicely balanced Alfredo sauce. And THE CANNOLI! Must have THE CANNOLI. The owners, Tony & Katy are warm, personable, friendlyand talk about hard workers. We had such a great experience, we went back later the same night with 2 friends and enjoyed acouple of drinks while they ate at the bar. My new favorite Minocqua area restaurant! Read more

I stopped here with my mother and two small children for after dinner drinks and dessert. The bartender and the main waitress,... whom I believe may have been the owners, were warm, friendly, and accommodating. The menu looked wonderful. We'll definitely beback soon for dinner. Beautiful atmosphere. Read more

My husband and I feel compelled to respond to the review Janice Johnson posted regarding a ?bad experience? she had on July... 27th. Like her party, we arrived just before our stated reservation time of 6:30 pm. Our table for a party of 4 was occupiedso we parked at the bar, next to Ms. Johnson?s party. When we arrived, there was an open table for 5 and it turns out it wasfor her crew. It took them 45 minutes past their reservation time for THEM to move to their open table which, as anyone in therestaurant business knows, makes operating a kitchen more challenging, especially on a night where they were short staffed, something that was explained to them on arrival. When they did move, they were sufficiently difficult with the owners anddisruptive of the nearby tables that they were asked to leave Anthony?s by the owner. Unfortunate that she feels the need toberate the restaurant further than she did that night. She should feel free to stay away from what we feel is the best diningexperience in the north woods. Had a bad experience we had reservations at 6:30 seated at 7 by the door at 2tables not even the same height on was a folding... card table and told it would take 45 minutes to get our dinner, if the owner wasn?t mingling with his favorite customers out inthe bar it could have been sooner then told that a $28. Appetizer doesn?t come unless you buy a main course the bartender askedme why we were so angry long list so then the so called owner came out and told us to leave and never come back. The 1 star ?? Igave was for the lemon martini, so we did, went to alehouse in boulder where-we knew the food was good and the serviceimpeccable unfortunately it was not a good experience will stay home where we know the sauce is exceptional, homemade and norudeness to contend with. We go to a lot of restaurants around the Northwoods and have never been treated like that because wedidn?t deserve to be. This is the first time in our life we have given a restaurant a not so good review Read more

The best Italian in the Northwoods hands down. The care and husband and wife team behind Anthony's shines through in both food... and service. Can't wait to come eat again! Read more

Just off the main drag in Minocqua, this restaurant was a wonderful change of pace from the more typical bar and grill... atmosphere present in the Northwoods. The dining room is cozy, and the owners are very friendly! Service was great, especiallygiven that one of the owners was acting as the only waitress. Food was excellent, and portion sizes were very generous. Themenu had a nice bit of variety on offer, and it was obvious that they take pride in the food they make. Highly recommended, please make reservations in advance if you can! Read more

Absolutely delicious. Enjoyed meeting the owners Tony & Katy and learning their personal connections to the Northwoods, one... could make the case that the historic Milwaukee Road depot that houses Anthony's Restaurante is the perfect melding between StarLake and Tomahawk, WI - their respective home towns. Loved the historic, charming, and kitchy atmosphere of the log railwaydepot. We've driven by a hundred times and never taken the time to stop, honestly one of my bigger mistakes as the hospitalityat Anthony's Restaurante was genuine and "home town", and the food was excellent. Our entrees were delicious; she had theseafood alfredo and I had the Jamison Filet. Both served with icy crisp house salads and cranberry butter for the slices offrench bread. This was our first visit and most certainly will not be our last, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and our meals. Thank you Katy and Tony for making us feel so welcome. Read more
