If you read other reviews, you'll find that they are 100% five stars except for people who, for some unknown reason, seem to... expect fast-food style speediness and prices. Water Street sits on perhaps the most coveted location on Cape Cod, with some ofthe world's most spectacular sunsets. What better way is there to enjoy such a place than by embellishing oneself with some ofthe best food, drink, and ambiance on our beautiful planet? I have only one answer: by expressing gratitude for what may be aonce in a lifetime opportunity. If you're looking for a cheap "burger", you'll need to drive back to Falmouth's fast-foodspots. If you want something "reasonably" priced for the beautiful geographic area, try the Captain Kidd across the street, orany of several other casual restaurants in Woods Hole, Falmouth, the Cape, and Islands. But if you want the absolute *best* inNew England, go to Water Street Kitchen. I consider myself to harbor the highest standards, and they have always exceeded myexpectations in every aspect of service and quality, even in aspects that I wouldn't have considered. Sure, there are flukes andmistakes to be found anywhere; such is life. In such cases, open communication is the key to amends. My daughter and I had dinner there last night. From the greeting to the check at the end, everything was perfect. Our server ... Nikki was knowledgeable and very efficient. She knew exactly what she was talking about in regards to recommendations. TheBread with radish butter was absolutely delicious. We also have a corn risotto which was out of this world. We had a wonderful experience at Water Street Kitchen. I had the tuna nicoise salad. The tuna was tender and bursting with... flavor. Our server was warm, attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. They work as a team and it shows from theattention to detail and the calm and courteous staff. Hands down the best restaurant in Woods Hole. The menu is fresh and inventive. The bar is well-stocked with all the libations... you could ask for. The decor is tasteful, and the views of the water provide an excellent backdrop. The standout by far,however, is the staff. Everyone was attentive, welcoming, and helpful. I went for my birthday with my mom. Everything was amazing, from the service to the food, to the ambiance ! My mom and I think... these are the best scallops we?ve ever had.
