Enjoyed breakfast at Oriole 9, but wouldn't wait the 45+ min wait for the meal (we were told 20-25 min initially. They only take... names in person, not over phone) Food was good enough. Eggs Benedict with $3 extra charge for some spinach seems a bit of a cashgrab. Breakfast burrito also good. Lavender latte is sweet and not overpowering. Read more

The place was small and very busy so unfortunately very loud. I only mentioned that as an FYI. This is not a place you want to... bring your soft-spoken friend. It took me a while but I finally decided on the shrimp and grits. Being from the south especiallyLouisiana this is a dish I am familiar with. They are two pictures for a reason. The very first picture was the initialpresentation before I began to mix it up and eat it. When I begin mixing as you can see parts of the shrimp were visible thatshould not ever be in this dish. I don't personally know who runs the kitchen. I guess I should have asked but I thought theowner the cook and my server for allowing this nightmare of a dish to be served this way. In no way ever should hot lava gritsbe served with shrimp that has the tail on. This is a taste issue and a safety hazard your customers should not have to dig intheir food to peel the tails off of their item. Anyone with a culinary thinking brain who enjoys food should know that youalways take the extra two seconds to pull a tail off of a raw shrimp. There is no flavor added by leaving it on. I am assumingthat this place wanted me to chew up a shrimp tail and spit it out into my dish that sounds really appealing right guys. I hopeI made my point. Read more

A nice place for a local beer! Their trout is delicious and I highly recommend this dish. The menu is diverse but the day I?ve... been there they could not make a few dishes from it. It?s still a good place to stop by . Read more

I went on a Saturday around two it seemed a bit busy but there were seats. There's some free parking in the back but when we got... there it was all full. Overall I had a decent experience. The hostess was very nice and attentive. I ordered an eggs Benedictwith smoked salmon, I was a bit disappointed that the eggs were over cooked. My partner ordered a tofu scramble... It was okaycould use a bit more flavoring. Read more

Had a lunch here on a bustling cold November day in Woodstock after having hiked the Kaaterskill falls trail nearby. Restaurant... was very busy, yet we were seated within about 10min. Service was super friendly and the 4 of us easily found choices on themenu that suited our taste. The food came out hot and very tasty. The fries got a lot of positive nods and so did the salads. Recommend. Read more

Let?s start here - I AM A REAL PERSON, yup nothing fake. It would be easy and simple to say I was in Woodstock NY for three... days and ate at the Oriole 9 twice, but hey it wouldn't be a real review. I'm not sure what is going on these days with somepeople who are eating out, but if you haven't noticed the pandemic has taken straight aim at restaurants - short staffed orstaff having to pull double shifts so let?s cut some slack. Oh, and a reminder - yea Woodstock NY may be peace and love, but itis expensive everywhere you shop and eat. Now back to O9 service and food. Everybody at Oriole 9 was nice. Friendly. Helpful.Accommodating. Funny. Professional. All this with a smile by the waitresses and bus-persons. The food is simply great, whichfills the place with people - and, ready? People talk... yup there you have it. This place is always packed for a reason -fresh food perfectly prepared and/or cooked, with a splash of inventiveness, and plenty of options. Entering around closingtime, we were seated and waited on by Brook (two weeks and I still remember Brook). End of the day, double shift and she had thepatience?s of an angel in getting us familiarize with the menu. Day one was freshly prepared salsa and guacamole, ClassicCheddar Burger lettuce tomato and onions, vegan-burger, fries, soy-milk latte and (I almost fainted!) Vietnamese Coffee -Forgetaboutit! The "guac" was a perfect blend of flavors - no over seasoning or too much lime/lemon. Both burgers were off thehook tasty, moist, and flavorful. the Fries were hot, lots of potato and a nice crust. The coffees were so delicious we orderedour seconds immediately. Day two was great coffee (see above), fresh and plentiful lox's and bagel, and "real" (yup there'sthat word again) corned beef hash. I love hash and I am always looking for something different and Oriole 9 delivered. Cornedbeef was cubed, eggs cooked to order, onions tender and the spices spot on. For the most part the cubes melted i Read more
