I have to say, I’m surprised at how good this was. Granted it’s your typical new American Midwest bistro food; with a fine... touch. Everything from start to finish was either pretty good or very good, and the service was excellent! A little slow butFrank made up for it very much. The atmosphere was calm not too snobby or anything, just very well rounded and upbeat, slightlylow lit. Reminds me of kitchen social, maybe better. Outstanding! Read more

Just got back from my first ever brunch there. It would be 5 stars if not for the little bait and switch. I understand that the... on line menu may not always be right. Waiter pointed that out. But he never mentioned the menu prices on the menu at your tableare off by twenty some percent. $16 entree is really $21. And so on. What I expected to be a $50 brunch was almost $80 with thetip. Pretty shady practice in my opinion. Do better. Read more

Such an amazing experience. My parents and I came here for a Friday night, Mum and I had the French onion soup and dad had the... salad, all wonderful. We all had the lobster pot pie for our main course and saying it was excellent is an understatement. Thedrink menu was extremely diverse and we tried a little bit of everything, from bourbon infused with blackberry to rum baseddrinks. Our server was delightful and I regret to say I’ve forgotten her name, but she was blonde and so cheerful, she lit upthe whole room and made our entire experience so pleasant. The dessert was the best part, the carrot cake and the cobbler are todie for! I’ve never eaten more at once in my entire life, I literally couldn’t say no to the menu. Read more

I've had brunch and dinner here and it's definitely a top-notch spot to dine in Columbus! It's great for a date night. From... dinner, I can't decide which was better: the chicken, the trout, or the service. The sauce paired with that chicken made theperfect sweet/salty contrast, and both proteins were cooked perfectly. The crab cakes are also phenomenal - I'd highlyrecommend. I'm pretty sure I ate my first grilled cheese as an adult here (and it was appropriately called the "adult grilledcheese"). It was better than any one I ever made growing up; once again, it had a subtle sweetness from a jam that made for anexcellent flavor contrast. Even though I've never tried it, they have boozy cereal on their brunch menu (let that sink in!!) I'dbe excited to try almost anything from their menu, so Whitney House better get used to seeing my face! Read more

Great food and service is still available at the Whitney House. We’ve been here before, but per Covid so this time we ate... outside. Nice area along the sidewalk giving it a cosmopolitan feel. We started with cocktails and a salad. Our main course wasthe scallops and a hanger steak. All of which were great. Read more
