I'm reluctant to write this review because I don't want any more people to know about this truly fantastic restaurant. I love... everything about Cafe Assisi. The food is made to order and everything is fresh, well made and delicious. In addition tosuperbly prepared Italian food the service is unbelievably great. This place was probably one of the worst restaurants I?ve ever been to. First off the waitress went to clean and change the... paper table cloth and decided to only change one side but the other side still had food on it. She then gave us silverware thatone of the paper napkins they were wrapped in had stains on it. Then received the water down sodas. We then ordered 3 sandwichesand within minutes were told they had no bread and that we could get our chicken, blt and meatball sandwiches in wraps or ordersomething else. I would?ve loved to seen these in wraps. The only thing left other than pizza or salads was the lunch/dinnerentrees that were double the price!(it was 2pm) we reluctantly ordered the entrees thinking maybe they were just trying to driveup the bill. I did ask if there was a lunch portion vs $18/21 dollars they were charging for the dinner and they said that wasthe lunch portion. Needless to say we received our order a few minutes later and all agreed it was gross. My order the pasta,chicken and sauce was room temperature or cold. My sister said hers was heated in the microwave because it was hot on bottom butcold or only warm in other places. $80 dollars for lunch that was not good. Save your money and go somewhere else. Walked in without a reservation at 7:30 on a Friday. It was crowded but they could seat us at the only open table outside on... their chaming patio which was fine with us as it was a lovely evening. We barely sat down and were immediately brought water andsome wonderful warm bread with a choice of an excellent dipping oil or butter. Waitress arrived quickly and took our drinkorders. The drinks arrived promptly and I had an excellent martini, one friend had a glass of chardonnay which she teally liked.Food orders were taken, two had a lemon basil shrimp dish over linguini. I had Gamberi alla Cardinale, another shrimp dish. Allof us were very pleased with our choices, generous portions and shrimp was cooked perfectly, all had a pleasing presentation. Visited on a busy Saturday afternoon. Staff was stretched thin but did very well in staying on top of things. Food quality was... excellent and the value/$$ was also very good. Desserts were excellent as well. After having this place on my radar for a longtime it is now firmly in the #1 go-to spot when I am in the Wrentham area. Read more

Anna was our server was also very friendly and warm and made our experience so special, and the meals we enjoyed werespectacular. Like a lot of place the people male the atmosphere., this is here and they are wonderful. The add a most delicious food... selection and you have a great night. Inside is tight seating, but they have outside seating with heat lamps. Make sure tomake a reservation, because the food is so good that you'll be delayed possibly until the next day, but we'll worth the wait . Read more
