It's a shame the stars only go as high as 5... My husband and I decided to try some different wineries this weekend as we were... in the STL area and we landed at Cedar Lake Cellars. Without question, this is one of THE nicest wineries we've been to in theMidwest. The floor-to-ceiling wall of wine greets you as you enter the tasting room, and unlike some places, it's elegantwithout an attitude. We were greeted at the counter first by Gabe, and he was wonderfully knowledgeable about all the wineproducts and led us through the tastings with expertise and humor. About midway through we were introduced to Kaitlyn, who wasin training, but still was very helpful with the tastings and her smile and sunny attitude. Because of the heat that day, weopted to stay in that room and order our lunch. The soup and salads were fantastic, and the greens were fresh! Both Gabe andKaitlyn continued to assist us with ordering and serving of the food. As we were exiting that building, Kaitlyn arrived with alarger tote bag for the wine we purchased as well as the tasting glasses--perfectly wrapped to prevent breakage. There wereexcellent wines for every taste, and Gabe perfectly crafted a sangria that was memorable. As we strolled the grounds, wecontinued to be amazed at the 'spacious wonder' of the entire property. Three different places are there onsite for dining, aswell as several areas to drink/dine indoors and out. The pond has swans (which were beautiful to watch) and the band playingwas excellent. The layout and attention to detail of this place is really something every winery should strive for, but thebest part was having two genuinely NICE people lead us through the process of tasting and dining. That is so rare these days,and Cedar Lake Cellars will always be on the list of destination wineries for us. Read more

We had fun but felt a bit lost at first.. we had NO IDEA where to go for what.. but we eventually found some delicious frozen... wine. We would.come by again. We shared some cornbread.. it was very very sweet like honey. **edit** no kids! It WOULD be a funplace but kids are not allowed.. but honestly that's nice for parents like us who were trying to get away! Read more

I’ve been here twice now for the “Boots, Blue Jeans, and Boogie” event and it is wonderful! So many people come and know... how to line dance. I split a bottle of red wine with my friend and it was also wonderful. The lady helped us decided what typeof wine we wanted and let us sample a few to make sure we got the right one. Minus one star because we ordered the quesadilla(which was good) and a pizza. The pizza was still cold in the middle and looked like it was a microwaved frozen pizza. They werecharging about $9 for this pizza too. Just not good. But I understand with free admission, they got to make their money somehow.Go for the drinks and the dancing! Just not for the food in the winter. Maybe once the outdoor smokehouse opens in the summer itwill be better. Overall though such a fun place! Read more

This is such a beautiful place for a girls day out, date night or just to stop and have a glass of wine. The grounds are... beautiful and the wine is delicious. We have done the wine flights several times and the staff has always been so helpful andknowledgeable. We love the frosè! Cedar Lake Cellars also offers a ton of theme nights and events. There's always somethinggoing on! The event with food trucks and vendors was so fun. It allowed guests to shop small businesses and try yummy food butthey also had MLM/direct sales companies too which was a bummer to see amongst actual small businesses. I can't wait for ournext trip! I wish they were open a little later too. We always have such a great time and it would be a beautiful place to holda special event! Read more

I cannot thank the team at Cedar Lake Cellars enough, for helping me plan and execute a wonderful wedding shower celebration!... Andrea C. and her Team worked with me for months planning our winery day, answering all of my questions and providing thedetails needed to host a guest-centric event. The day of our event we really lucked out with terrific weather and enjoyed agreat celebration on the Boat Dock. I loved how close and central the boat dock is to everything yet at the same time, thelocation was private; perfect for our intimate gathering. Andrea and her Team were very helpful, accommodating, and attentivethroughout the entire planning process and during our time spent at Cedar Lake Cellars.
