Let me start by saying that the only positive thing I have to say about this place is the host. He was attentive and helpful.... The atmosphere and location is beautiful but that is the only foundation this place has to stand on. For starters, I know theywere understaffed so I was expecting slower wait times but to have to wait a half hour for appetizers and an hour before ourentree order was taken was ridiculous. It’s a given that it took forever for our dinner to arrive but I’ll start with theappetizers. Whoever and wherever they buy their frozen calamari from needs to be erased from the vendor list. It’s atrocious. It doesn’t even taste like real calamari. And what makes it worse is how it is served. Calamari is supposed to be crispy sansany extra sauce or cheese on top. It’s a simple app that does not need to be reinvented. The spinach and artichoke dip wassuper mushy and was sans artichoke. We could tell it was made with frozen chopped spinach and Kraft Parmesan cheese with somesort of roux that had an overbearing amount of chicken broth. It was chicken slop with spinach and cheese melted on top. Nowonto my entree- I asked for mashed potatoes in lieu of wild rice and did not get it. It was brought later as a side. But mysalmon was blackened on the outside and RAW on the inside. Raw. Enough said. That exhausted me enough to even go on a rant aboutthe terrible waitress who wasn’t even our waitress, really, or how she had to reprint our bills because she didn’t know whohad what and decided to split appetizers instead of asking because she didn’t take our orders initially. She was young andoverworked so that was understandable. All of this really falls on the management. I can’t criticize management of arestaurant because I don’t know the ins and outs. However, as a customer burning gas and paying for food to patronize, thereare many things that should be worked out and the food should be the main focus if all else fails. Read more

My fiance and I went to The Waterfront Wyandotte for dinner a couple of weekends ago. I wanted to go somewhere that had a patio,... overlooking water, with a breeze, and a glass of wine. This place checked all of those boxes and even had live music. Littledid we know we were in for an interesting night. I started off by ordering a glass of Reisling. When it was delivered to mytable, the glass had a thumb size smudge of white stuff on the side of it. I told our waitress and she immediately remedied theissue. *Picture of the clean glass of wine attached. We put in an order for a chicken sandwich and fries, spinach artichokedip, a Caesar salad, and chicken marsala with wild rice and broccolini and carrots. We then waited about 20 minutes and ourappetizer was not out. Our waitress offered to get us a bread basket and about 10 minutes later had warm bread. We devoured thebread within minutes and the appetizer finally came out. Our waitress was kind and apologized for the wait. After about another20 minutes, our dinner was served. We were extremely underwhelmed. He shared that his sandwich and fries were okay if you arethem quickly. I tried the chicken marsala and the flavor was not quite what I was expecting. I didn't take a picture as theplating looked like the food was just slid on the plate and splattered with sauce. It was not the best I've ever had. I'm achicken marsala lover and my standards are a bit high. The sauce was more like a thick gravy and the marsala wine was notpulling through as much as it could. The chicken was moist and tender. When I tried the broccolini, carrots, and wild rice, itwas cold. It was almost like it had either been sitting out for the entire time we were waiting for pulled from the fridge andmissed a reheat cycle. The Caesar salad never even made it to the table and it is quite possible that was for the better at thispoint. Aside from the food experience, our waitress was attentive, kind, and doing her best to manage all Read more

The ambiance, the drinks and... the food was delicious. disclaimer: We had a large party so the food took a little longer than expected, but I had no complaintsbecause it was my birthday and who wants to rush that ???? The evening was perfect. Yes I would recommend. Read more

I love The Waterfront! Fun, summer vibes in Downriver. I enjoyed their Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo. So good and the portion was... big. I like their rotating frozen drinks. I’m all in for the blue tongue from the Electric Lemonade. The views are pretty andit’s enjoyable to watch the boats, freighters, tiki bar, and more, roll by. Read more
