Superb Indian restaurant. I am Indian and usually picky. After such a long time, decades actually, I finally came across a... restaurant that is authentic and so tasty. We took our friends to Benares in Wyckoff rather than their usual Indian restaurant that they've loved for years. By the end of... the meal, they had a NEW favorite Indian restaurant. The food was tasty, beautifully presented and plentiful. The service wasimpeccable even though we chose to dine outdoors. This is by far the best Indian food I've had in a very long time. I've been to many places in the area and this little strip... mall place out does them by a mile. We started with Eggplant Chat, which is just spectacular, Samosa, which were fresh anddelicious. Garlic Naan a must, hot and flavorful. We ordered for our entree, tandoori lamb chops. Oh my gosh they were sooooodelicious, and so tender, melt in your mouth. We also enjoyed Chicken Korma which puts others to shame. This was one of thebest meals I've enjoyed in so long. I did a bridal tasting here yesterday. The food was mouth watering. The staff was friendly. The owner Ranbir Ji was... knowledgeable, accommodating, and hard working. So delicious! The lunch specials are such a great value. You get an appetizer, entree, and a dessert for less than $20. The... mango lassi is a great complement to cut the heat.
