Everyone was very friendly. When we walk through the door we were greeted with hellos from the man at the register to the... server. We ordered the crab bites for appetizer. They were hot and delicious. I ordered the shrimp, mussels with spaghetti andmarinara sauce. The marinara sauce needed a little bit more flavor. Come here frequently 1st time I ever had a problem with the food. The service was great. My girlfriend had the seafood boil and... found not 1 but 2 chin hairs on a shrimp, I tried to be amicable and spoke with my waiter Frances she was great and asked forthe meal to be comped out the rest of the food was fine and we didnt feel like waiting for anothet boil bag to be made, alsodidnt want to be wasteful, however the "manager" Richard came over and when he looked at it said that it was a hair from the????, really? I kindly advised him to remove the meal to what he said "Ill remove but also take the rest" which is not what wewanted to do bc the any other option would be to wait for another boil bag, Richard came back after taking the food to the chefand said it was a hair from the mussels, wrong again, so anyways the fact that Richard was unwilling to comp out a meal and thefact that he tried to gaslite the fact that they were hairs, Rich made it clear that his 25 years of chef experience outweighsthe actual eye physical proof that they were hairs, next time be better and comp out the meal and you can avoid a bad reviewalso filing a complaint with Joyce the owner and corporate, so when you go to Hook and Reel in Cheltenham Mall check your foodfor Mussel and Shrimp hairs...smh. Went there for b lunch and was able to be seated right away. The waitress was doubling as the bartender and the drink were very... good and the food was delicious, flavorful and plentiful as well for a lunch portion. No complaints at all. Will be back again! Read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Judging by the exterior, I thought this was a small, relaxed, take out type... restaurant. I'm glad I was highly mistaken. The food was hot and delicious. The service was slow but understandable(covid/staffing shortage) and the prices weren't bad to be a seafood joint. I would and WILL go back to this restaurant,especially on a laid back Wednesday after work. This happy hour menu and prices are enticing. Ordered the Lobster bisque and crab roll via UberEats, both were made with imitation seafood products. It?s a seafood... restaurant...why use imitation crab and lobster meat? Service was a little slow to start but once it was known that no one had been to our table to take our order it was full speed... after. The food and drinks were delivered quickly and the staff checked on us often. The food was very good! The seasoned garlicbutter was my favorite sauce. The mini boil was a great way to try the boil as a first timer. The size of the shrimp in theshrimp basket is perfect! The happy hour menu has good options and full sized portions. Food was really gd in my opinion, very fresh taste(ocean essence). Even better prices. Really good raw oysters the muscle boil... was pretty good also, calamari was nice and fresh and the lemon pepper wings..... this was the first place where I had lemonpepper wings that actually tastes like lemon and pepper, it was really good.
