My husband stopped in here and brought me home some food while traveling in the area. The coffee cake was delicious and the... stuffed cabbage soup was hearty and flavorful. I didn't love the texture of the scones ( glazing on top would have added moreflavor too) but the coffee cake was so wonderful that I had to give 5 stars! Absolutely delicious & plant based! My sister and her husband catered their post wedding brunch at the Greenhouse Cafe about a... month ago. The guests - many of whom were not accustomed to fully plant based dining - were thrilled with every bit of the meal.Our vegan parents are obsessed and brought me back while visiting home this weekend. Easiest 5 stars I've ever given. Phenomenal little place. Innovative menu with plenty of old favorites, fantastic food quality... and preparation, a soothing atmosphere that's somehow both bright and cozy at once, and top tier service to round it all out.Every single employee I spoke with - and that was a lot of them, because they're all so friendly - was cheery, helpful, andknowledgeable. What a relief to be at a place where I can order anything and not have to worry about my dairy allergy or eggallergy! They stock a variety of local drinks. My side salad had plenty of dressing on it. I simply love this hidden treasure in Berks county! If you desire All plant based foods this is your spot! I personally am... lactose intolerant. It was such a joy to find a restaurant where all foods were safe for me! The staff were so warm & welcoming!The staff also were super helpful in explaining ingredients of foods on menu. Today is the beginning of the new relationship for me. I recently had a health scare that made me change what I fuel my body... with. As being new to the health scene I had questions and the friendly staff were willing and eager to help me with them. Theywere also more than willing to help with any dietary special request I needed. This small town feeling Cafe has big citycuisine. This food is not only healthy and delicious it makes you feel like someone cares about you and your health. Theirdishes are thoughtfully designed to bring robust flavors to your palate from their moist textures to their flavorful sauces. Andas you see in the photo they are very visually appealing, I was compelled to take a bite before I took a photo. I don't knowabout any of you but I'm a very picky coffee drinker. My personal preference is something smooth yet has bite. Which makes theircoffee perfect for me. As an added bonus it's also locally sourced. They also offer all the healthy options including oat milkand natural sweeteners. Final thought, In a world that's so concerned about health, I believe we should be looking into theroot cause. In a historic carriage house, lovingly decorated with welcoming atmosphere. 100% plant-based, 100% multi-dimensional, high... quality, fresh, hearty (or light, if preferred) fare. Plenty of seating styles (indoor, outdoor, covered patio, sofa seats,counter overlooking the restored, historic stables). Plenty of off-road parking in a nice neighborhood right off the highway. Amazing food there's not many places like this in the area which makes this such a gem. The staff are beyond sweet and the food... is very delicious makes you think outside the box when it comes to food. Just recently had their latte and it was delicious. Ihave eaten a couple different things at the greenhouse Cafe and I'm never disappointed. I don't eat anywhere else if I need aquick bite to eat now this is always my first go-to. Thanks for existing.
