The bartenders were very nice, but the owner would rather accommodate regulars with a blowout SDSU football game and 8 minutes... remaining than out of town guest willing to spend money all night by changing the game to USD game which was just starting.Bottom line if you are not a regular don't expect to be treated like customer is always right. Old traditional tavern turned I to a taproom. Lots of TV's to watch any game you want. Good list of craft beers they brew. We... had a raspberry porter and a jalapeño pineapple. Both very good, although we were wondering if we would like them when weordered. In fact, they were so good we took some growlers home. Ben's is a very nice sports bar and Brewery! Very welcoming, clean, attentive and relaxing. Meat lovers Pizza was excellent!... Drinks were measured just right! Prices were very fair! I had the pleasure of meeting Ben today. An owner that actually caresfor his guests! His employees were super nice, kept his bar clean and in good hands even while he was away! For a nice place tomake your home for a game day or just romantic night out - Ben's is definitely a place to check out! Great local microbrewery! Seating is bar or high tables. Great for solo guests or groups, since both were there during our... visit. Friendly, conversational staff. Menu is mostly beer, wine, and liquor. Very limited food menu, which included pizzas andappetizers (egg rolls, nachos, etc.). Fantastic local brews! Option to taste before we chose was appreciated. The beer is good but the female bartenders could be friendlier. I've lived here for 4 years and any female bartender that helps... is sassy and unfriendly. The brew station is friendly and welcoming. I would recommend that location. Read more
