The waitress was very inadequate. It wasn't until we asked about our order. She discovered she hadn't placed it after we had... waited 45 minutes or more for our food then blaming it on the kitchen staff. The waitress didn't even return to our table toadmit her mistake or apologize. The Shift Supervisor, Anna was absolutely awesome. She took the incident so to heart and feltso bad, she was almost in tears. Anna gave us our meals at no cost. She was very attentive to our needs I just had to give heran " at-a-boy " to the new General Manager of the Yankton Perkins, who by the way, was also very kind. Read more
We just drove 500 hundred miles and were tired and hungry. We stopped at Perkins at 8:30 pm, there was 1 other car in parking... lot. We are not from this area and wanted to eat someplace familiar. We were told that they were too busy with door dash andcouldn?t service us. I think the staff wanted to be out of there by 9:00. We took our business down to the Mexican Restaurant, where we were welcomed. Read more

My hubby and I adore Perkins Restaurant. The food is great, at least the breakfast is. Well it is said to be the most important... meal???? However, what is the most important to us are the staff. They all treat you as an individual person instead of justanother tush in the seat. Your drinks are actually refilled when you need one. ????Best of all you don't even have to do seatgymnastics to get someone's attention. ?????????????? Well established chain restuarant that features breakfast, lunch, and dinner items served all the time. Restaurant is cozy and... very clean. Food is great and there is an extensive collection of pies for dessert (by the slice or the whole pie). Read more
You know as a local, I thought this restaurant was better before. I like Perkins and all but wasn't quite what I expected. ... Food was relatively good, service was fair, not that they weren't trying, but it seemed as if they were still trying to get thehang of things. I think the most disappointing part of visit was the lack of silverware, shown in pictures, after we got ourfood and lack of cookies, muffins, and pies. If I could give no stars I would. This place is one of the worst places to eat for a minority. The wait staff is rude and... unfriendly. They pretended to not see us so took about 20 minutes just to be seated. Took another 15 just to get our drinksordered while telling us it'll be a wait. Meanwhile the white couple who came in the door after us with the same amount ofpeople and kids were already seated, served drinks, and had put there ordersin. After we ordered we managed to notice we're notthe only ones being treated this way. 2 other tables WITH MINORITIES sitting there waiting for food and drinks still. A tablecame in before us and a table came in after us Meanwhile the white folks were coming in and out. we waited after ordering anhour and 15 minutes for our food before walking out.
