The ambience, our server (Ashley), and the food was all amazing! It’s so great to be able to find an awesome place outside of... Portland to skip the crazy city chaos. Read more

Royal River Grill House offers an excellent selection of adult beverages and an assortment of appetizers and entrees sure to... please anyone. I was one of a party of 6, and our service was beyond excellent. Upon arrival we were greeted promptly and shownto our table. Four of our party were present before my companion and I arrived. Champagne had been pre-ordered for us. A verygood choice. Each felt their food choice good, however not a memorable dining experience. The food was good, nothing more, nothing special. Royal River Grill House offers a very relaxed atmosphere that does enhance the experience. I realize it is abar/restaurant but the men's restroom was totally disgusting, dirty with a smell of urine and overflowing waste basket to thepoint there was a pile of paper towels on the floor. Very unimpressive for an upscale bar. Read more

We have been here several times for lunch and dinner. It is always outstanding! Beautiful location and lovely atmosphere. The... food is delicious. Fantastic appetizers( don't miss the Baked Focaccia) and wonderful entrees. The food here is always fresh andperfectly prepared. A short(<10 min) wait for a table on a beautiful late summer Saturday afternoon gave us a chance to sit atthe bar and our group ordered some of the signature drinks which were all very good. The Royal Mary is served in a glass madefrom a Grey Goose bottle and garnished with a jumbo shrimp and a skewer of olives. Consistently a great experience. Read more

August 3, 2022 - “Touch of Class” best describes our lunch dining experience at the R.R.G.H.! What’s not to like . . .... Sitting either inside or outside over looking the Harbor in Yarmouth on a sunny day in Maine! After picking up our Marylandfriend at the Portland Jetport, my wife and I wanted an iconic Maine spot for lunch so we remembered how much we enjoyed thisrestaurant for dinner a year ago. Jacky , our server, pleasantly answered all of our questions , allowing us time to converse(with our Maryland friend) , and look over all the choices on the menu. Vegetarian & gluten free options are available! Goodselection of seasonal mixed drinks! We each enjoyed our “well constructed” cocktails. . . my Blackberry margarita, wife’sArnold Palmer, MD friend’s Gooseberry Bellini ( generous pour of vodka, berry purée, white cranberry base in a modifiedbottle of vodka cut into a tall glass)! My litmus test for quality seafood is the New England Chowder. . . I liked theingredients in the chowder, and mentioned to Jacky to pass along a compliment about the perfect cooking of the potatoes ( notmushy, just cooked enough ) to the Chef! My wife ordered the Salmon burger, which she enjoyed! Our MD friend loved herdelicious haddock sandwich on a bun! I ordered the fish & chips. . . Enjoyed the seasoned truffle fries, but was disappointedwith my “ cut up” fish ? The smaller pieces created a greater ratio of fried outer crust to fresh fish ? Oh well, next timea different entree. Jacky talked us into dessert . . . Fresh homemade blueberry cheese cake we split with 3 forks! Perfectlunch ! Thank you! Compliments to Edward Manganello for a top notch dining restaurant harbor side in Yarmouth! Thanks & creditto Nicola on restaurant renovations! Ed’s other locations include: Tuscan Bistro - Freeport Tuscan Table - SouthPortland Sicilian Table - Falmouth ( future opening) Read more

I’m reviewing this months after my initial two visits while visiting Maine with my wife, because I wanted to come back here so... bad that I googled just to look at the food. This place is AMAZING. We ate the majority of the brunch menu and it was flawless. The service was fantastic, the ambiance was relaxed, the scenery was lovely at the food was *chefs kiss*, perfect. If you’revisiting Maine, do yourself the favor and go here. You won’t regret it Read more

Everything was excellent as well as the service. Had a candlelight dinner with the Truffle Cheese Fries and Crab Cakes... appetizers, Lobster meal and a Chocolate Mint Martini. The cozy upscale atmosphere was wonderful. Afterwards went outside andsat by the fire pit that overlooked the river and boats for a more delightful and relaxing evening. Read more

The place is beautiful i will ask for a seat with a view next time but still so nice. This would be a great date or romantic... dinner place. We had the wedge salad was good but would have preferred more dressing it was basically lettuce. Also had theclam chowder wouldn’t recommend this. But the duck breast was amazing. Enjoyed every bite. The hanger steak was cookedperfectly. I will be returning and would recommend this place Read more

Food was great and staff very friendly. Visited there for lunch which entailed a smaller menu. We did not have reservations... but, was able to sit at the bar. This was a hidden gem that we found during a day drive to check out the fall views. Thanks forthe amazing drinks! I look forward to traveling up there again just to enjoy the drinks and food.
