Good BBQ in WESTCHESTER? Is it possible? We have very limited offerings for good BBQ in Westchester and one of the better... offerings has been removed from The Westchester Mall, so I've been dreaming of a good BBQ spot again and I am so happy I foundit. In the Photo: Burnt Ends Top left with Baked Beans. Middle 4 Bones of Ribs, Cornbread, Bottom Left Pulled Chicken +Mac+Cheese. This meal was $23 and worth every penny. Whoever said the portions aren't good didn't get my meal. It fed me forlunch and my son ate my left overs at home for dinner. You can easily bring two people and share this meal for $11.50 each,that's bananas how good that deal is for two people to eat this level of food. The Burnt Ends were delicious, perfect amount ofsmoke, great flavor, not salty or too fatty at all. I saw the other review photo here, I don't recognize those burnt ends theydon't even remotely resemble what I was served. The Baked Beans were fantastic. They were sweet with a touch of vinegar and aperfect pairing with the burnt ends. The Ribs fell off the bone, but kept their bite as rib meat. The pulled chicken wastender and flavorful, but I wish I had gotten to try the pork (it was still VERY good). The Mac and Cheeese was velvety andcreamy. Nothing was over salted, nothing was disappointing. I have eaten BBQ where when I'm done, I feel heavy and saturatedwith fat. This was not that meal. The food was excellent, the service was top notch, and I will be back to eat regularly. Mywhole family is looking forward to the next time we order this! Really great BBQ. We ordered pulled pork & beef brisket (sweet sauce) with mac and cheese.. order came out super fast, seasoned... and cooked perfectly. Never would have guessed there would be quality BBQ in Yonkers before this place. Definitely would comeback anytime. Read more
Today was my 1st time taking out at WHC, I was in the mood for some comfort food, this is the place to go if you want meats... falling off from the bone, since it?s my 1st time, I had to get the sampler, and it was fantastic, every item was freshly cooked, the corn bread was moist, and the mac and cheese / salad was made fresh. Let's start with the friendliness of the staff and how welcoming and customer service based they are. A selection that any bbq... person would want. Tonight I had the pulled chicken sandwich. I was a little surprised that it did not come out like other bbqplaces that I have been at where it was actually shredded to peices. The fries were cooked to my request (crispy) but notburned, they could have used a little salt but I appreciate them not adding salt because alot of places over due it. I've been here 3 times. I love the beef platter. The desserts are good but sell out fast. I was there today and the Cole slaw... was sold out at 2pm. The sandwiches may be on the small side but the just a taste and platters are well worth it. Great foodgood prices. Very convenient location with plenty of parking. Read more
Stopped here for lunch for the first time as the 'BBQ' banner caught my eye. I had the pulled pork sandwich lunch special, it... was smoky, tender, and moist. Absolutely delicious. Fries were pretty standard, and I ordered a small mac n' cheese, which wasalso fairly standard. Service was quick and very friendly, with a warm welcome as I entered the premises.
