Best sushi in OC by a long shot, particularly if you are looking for authentic Japanese.

First of all the salmon sushi had a LOT of the silver layer on it where you know it was cut close to the skin but wasn't skilled... enough to keep it off. I've never seen that before yet alone that much on salmon. I thought "ok, maybe this fish is superfresh or something and it doesn't matter"... nope. The salmon had this oddly firm texture to it and it was just badquality. The tuna was ok, the toro was pretty good. Yes the service is still slow and it seems they are way understaffed withinexperienced people. Us and the table next to us didn't even get pens to sign our check like c'mon. Overall it's overratedand overpriced. Read more

Sashimi quality was okay (consider fresh), ordered toro but got something that does not look like toro and sadly it was cut in... the wrong direction. This is the first time I've seen someone who cut the sashimi alone the grain and not diagonally orhorizontally. Most of the waitress is nice and polite except one who just rush over and take our plate away without asking ifwe're done or not. 2 things combine, maybe most of the people doesn't care, but it should never happen in an authentic Japaneserestaurant. Maybe the owner doesn't have time to proper train the chef & waitress. Hope there will be some improvement in thefuture. Read more

Way over priced for what's being served! That said, good quality sushi rolls. The Toro cut roll at $15.00 was very small.... Seaweed paper on the outside was soggy. The diameter of the entire roll was comparable to a nickel. The California roll at$10.00 was a normal sized roll and one of the better ones I've eaten. Ordered hot tea, which tasted like a low grade matcha, giving "off" hints of fish smells. After tipping $5.00 I was in for a $35.00 lunch and I left hungry. Yes, very limited menu, unfortunately, I'm not wealthy enough to go back to try something else. Too bad. The fact that only two tables were seated atlunch time I guess has no bearing on making adjustments to appeal to a larger customer base for the owner. Perhaps this is justa hobby for him and he's not interested in having more patrons eat at his establishment. Too bad. Read more

Food is amazing, only thing is the service was a little slow for only have maybe four or five table seated. The only reason why... I didn't give it a five sart. But for the food I'd be back. Hopefully the service is a little better next time. Read more

Some of the best sushi. Yum. Limited menu but delicious. No fountain drink makes it feel a little downscale for the area and... price. They need an actual menu not a scan menu that barely works due to prior customers spilling tea? Read more

It was amazing, tried both Jun's and Hiro's omakases and they were both amazing, definitely the best fish I've ever eaten, and... I've eaten plenty of sushi in Japan. Also tried their Miyazaki beef and it was also delicious, as good as the A5 steaks I've hadin Japan, definitely would recommend. Came during covid and they were very professional and clean. The number of people insidewas very limited, all the staff was wearing masks, and we sat at the bar, where each space was separated by a divider, definitely felt safe. Read more

Sushi chef is very skillful. Sweet shrimps are not as tasty as the deep dried head, it tastes like soft shell crab. Sashimi... are fresh and well prepared. Read more
