Two of us went there. We both had broiled haddock. I initially considered ordering lobster. They had the lobster on the menu... but said that they could not serve the lobster because it was "too expensive!" (That was a first!) I ordered a bowl of thelobster chowder. I know the lobster prices are high, but for the portion sizing we got was significantly higher priced comparedto other local places for the same thing. Their "bowl" was about the size of a cup. It was about $18! I can get the same thinglocally (bigger size) for about 12 to 14. Tried to get the waiters attention three times. When we did get his attention italmost looked like it was an inconvenience for us to speak to him to order food. On a scale of 1 to 10 the food was about a 7.I live locally in the area so I can compare different restaurants for what they serve and could get much better food at lowerprices. Others have said when they have got take out food from there that many times the food is ready, but tepid. If they areable to place the food under a warmer or some heat lamps would be great alternative. For the prices they charge they cancertainly afford one. Older woman that was there seems to have a little bit of an attitude. She wasn't mean, but there is roomfor improvement. If you had to stop there to get something to eat, it's okay but there are other choices I will use. Mostlikely won't be back. Read more

We love this restaurant and stop there every time we are in area. Wonderful food and staff. They have the best clam chowder.

Last minute decision to go here and glad we did!! As a former sous chef I'm often disappointed in the quality of food put out by... most of the eateries in this region, simple food done bad has no excuse ever for me. My wife and I were both impressed with thequality freshness and portion size the price was very reasonable for the portion. the fried food was good with a nice lightcoating and had a crisp and not soggy, the twin lobster dinner was good and the chowder was a nice velvety smooth cream withgenerous amount of stock ???? if you're looking for a nice simple place with good quality food don't overlook this little gem.. The most incredible food, trip, waitress and fathers day I could ever ask for. This place is worth it to just take a day trip... from Southern NJ or even further! You need to eat here!! Read more

Lobster rolls were tiny for what we paid for them. For $18, I expect a bigger roll. The meat was good. Buns were nice and toasty... but falling apart. Clams also seemed very pricey ($14 for a small order), but they also very tasty. Service was good too, but Ijust hate overpaying. Read more
