What a great spot to stop and eat. The menu has a nice selection. The food was high quality and delicious. We have done both... the take out window and the full service inside. My friends and I visited Fox?s on a Saturday night. We were given a 40 minute wait time estimate, which proved to be pretty... exact. We had drinks at the bar and an app. The bartender was so sweet to chat with! We were seated outside, and it was a bitbuggy. We had to ask for silverware after our food had been sitting on the table for a few minutes. The food was good, but notanything to write home about. The view of the sunset from the dining room was beautiful though. I would probably choose to visita new restaurant next time we?re in York, but wouldn?t be opposed to returning. Read more
This is THE place to go for fresh, sweet lobster. Period. Sure you can pepper it with amazing Blueberry Ale and top it of with... Phyllis?s famous blueberry pie but really?this is where the lobster is Kweeeeen! The staff are hard working but always smiling!Get there at 5 because this place packs fast. Fox?s Lobster House is located in a really pretty area right on the ocean. The fish is really fresh however lacked a lot of... flavor. The portions were also very small for the price paid. If you?re looking for a casual and easy place to eat near thewater near Long Sands or Short Sands beach then this is an okay choice. The menu has a lot of selections with a grab and go areaalong with sit down AC restaurant. I was able to sit on a nice bench outside overlooking the ocean and think of all my liferegrets while eating fried fish and chips. Read more

First time vacationing in Maine and had to try the fresh seafood! The clam chowdah (New England of course) was thick, creamy and... loaded with clams. Taste was excellent. The lobster roll was packed with big chunks of lobster, lightly tossed with mayo. One ofthe best I've had in a while. When I tried the homemade blueberry pie, the first words I said was "tastes just like mymother's"! Flaky, melt in your mouth crust, loaded with wild Maine blueberries. We were there the first week of October, ate some dinner as the sun was setting. My husband had his first lobster roll and said... it was amazing. I had the chicken tenders with fries which were really good. The bonus was our incredible view of thelighthouse. Read more
Got there was a little busy but didn't have to wait long for outdoor service table .. we had a new server but he was great and... very friendly. Recommend the lobster bisque which is fantastic. Had the lazy lobster and stuffing was tasty but for theexpensive upcharge really wasn't worth it was like a pile of breadcrumbs on lobster... Our entire party got lobsters...including the kids... Lobsters were all sweet and delicious... Definitely worth the wait. Also Fox's seem to have best price forlobsters in the area .. definitely recommend.. Read more
