My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner here a few weeks ago. The staff were very nice but seemed overwhelmed at times. The food... was decent (we did a buffet). One positive about this place is the extensive local beer list, which our guests enjoyed. Thedining room we rented was beautiful and offered convenient access to the outdoor deck and lawn. We were able to sneak in and outof the event space to take some beautiful pictures around sunset. Overall, we had a good experience making lasting memories withfriends and family. Food excellent! Service, not so much. Highlight... Food was delicious and that's the reason for the four stars. Fish and chips... were awesome! Try the battered deep fried pickles... Different but surprisingly delicious. Lowlight... I knew we were off to abad start when waitress complained she'd have to go all the way to the bar for my tonic water, even though soda water was justin the other room. So, YES Kathy, I want tonic water with lime. She brought warm, flat tonic water. Asked her to replace itwith soda water instead, she brought warm flat soda with lemon because she "dropped all the limes", implying it was my fault forasking. We needed to ask for missing place settings and utensils for our party of five and repeatedly for water for the table.She spent more time cleaning other tables than attending to ours, eventually bringing two appetizers after the meal was served. Not the first time to YRL, not the first time with Kathy either. I let my wallet make the point. We'll be back but I'll be sureto ask for a customer centric server interested in upholding the YRL standard and worthy of a tip. Read more
Our food was delicious! I wanted extra vegetables instead of potatoes and they were very accommodating. Asparagus was cooked... perfectly. Our server was excellent. She was very attentive, and friendly. All of the staff was very welcoming and friendly toour whole family, which is so important to me because I have experienced other places which were not welcoming to children. Staff was friendly and inviting. Wait staff was prompt and accommodating. One of the best clam chowders I?ve had!! Delicious !!!... Great fish tacos and a pretty decent lobster roll. Service and food was very good. Would highly recommend! Read more
Went to catch the Celtics game at the bar. The beer selection was great and the bar tender was wonderful. Tapped 3-4 different... beers while trying things out and she was making jokes about it, the staff was wonderful and accommodating. Tried severaldifferent brews and the bar tender even came up with some creative "blends" while we were deciding what to try next. Didn't eatwhile we were there but those around us getting food seemed very happy with their selections. Awesome atmosphere for the gameand a better tap list than most places. Only downside was the 9pm closing on a Saturday night. We didn't get to catch the endof the game stayed until about 930 and the staff was never rushing us out though which was very nice. Read more
Wait staff is excellent. Food is very good. A bit overpriced for the menu type but everything has been delicious.
We were seated inside facing the river. The hostess was not too friendly. Our server came over to take our drink order. My... husband did take a bit of time but, he ordered a nice glass of wine. My husband is the manager of our family's Tasting Room outin the Applegate Valley, Oregon. I asked for water, I waited and waited then, we ordered our food. Our server Allison, was notattentive with us, asking us questions if there is anything else we might need. I finally got my water when out food came out.As far as us liking our food is this, clam chowder was good, my grilled shrimp wrap was nice, it had good flavor. What was wrongwas the French fries were not hot, fried in a dirty fryer and sat under a heat lamp. I could not even eat one. My husband gotFried fish trio tacos, it lacked taste, not enough Pico de gallo which had not much onions, cilantro, jalapeño and a wedge oflime. He asked for more, I asked for more water and a box. She did not ask if we enjoyed our food, lacked some personality wherethe gentleman server our table, he was on it asking if there was anything they needed, liked their food etc. I finally got thatsecond glass of water when she gave us the check. She gave me a box for the other half of my wrap...did not take the fries. Thelady at the Lindt store recommended this place to eat. Not sure it we return back to Maine if this would be a go to restaurant. Read more
