We were looking for a nice restaurant for our anniversary and we were impressed with the pictures. So glad we gave it a try!... Hands down some of the most amazing and fresh food we have ever eaten. Roosevelt tavern is one of my best places to eat in York Pennsylvania. The onion soup is superb! They serve it with very thinly... sliced and fried onions on top... Gobs of them. It is delicious. I often enjoy just a bowl of soup for lunch. All of their soupsare homemade and tasty. Read more
We feel mixed about our experience at Roosevelt Tavern. Our waitress offered us a salad with our meal. She made it sound like it... came with the meal. On top of that, we were charged $3 for each mushrooms and onions to our already expensive fillet mignon.This is shady and concerning business practices. Everything else about our experience was excellent. Our steak and salad weresuperb, rich in flavor. The wait staff was fast to refill non-empty glasses. They catered well to my girlfriend who has a severegluten allergy. We are not sure if we will return, however, due to the misleading offerings from the first paragraph. Weunderstand business, especially restaurants, are hurting from the pandemic. This is not the way to recover. Read more
If you ask me this is a hidden gem in York, PA! The food is made from scratch, and it is farm to table. Everything was delicious... from appetizers and cocktails, to desert. Was very beautiful inside and the service was great. Read more
Dinner for 10, great service and a very nice ambiance. I had the crab cakes, maybe the best i have ever had. I see a negative... post on the crab cakes, the ones I had were jumbo lump, they were fantastic. French onion soup was excellent. The interior,windows and furnishings are absolutely spotless and pristine. Give this place a try. I will be back. Read more
Though its pricey the food and ambiance here is incredible. I've been here twice and everything was great each time. Staff is... friendly and helpful and quick to have a laugh and help you out. Read more
Food was delicious, atmosphere and service were great! Edit..not sure how to respond to the establishment..but the only reason... the food got 4 is because the chicken bites were extremely dry. Everything else was a solid 5! Read more
