Not sure who makes the crab dip, but what is up with all the grease, cream cheese and that thick layer of cold cheese on top of... everything. That was not crab dip, that was cream cheese with globs of cheese and too much oil or butter whatever. I could notseparate the flavors except the cream cheese or tell whether there was crab in the crab dip or not, the "roll" was soggy. I wasnot sure what to do with it, so I left it on my plate as well as the dip. My husband and son liked their meals. The prices arealso OT. Service was good, waiter was attentive, but not attentive enough to realize there was something wrong with my meal,especially since before handing it to him I covered it with a napkin. Read more
I remembered when I first walked in the door and saw the bar, fireplace and the seating areas. It gave me a warm feeling. The... food though is really delicious. Everything that I have ordered over the years has been a excellent. The crab cake is one of myfavorite and the best I?ve had around York. The service is always pleasant. I could eat here everyday, but I?ll need to win thelottery. ???? if you haven?t tried this place I recommend them highly. You will not be disappointed. So friends took my husband & I out to this restaurant where we were seated in the back. I don't know if they were trying to... conserve energy or didn't decide to pay their energy bill, but there was NO air moving in that place on one of the hottest daysof the year. The heat was so oppressive that we couldn't even enjoy ourselves b/c we were sweating the whole time. My husbandpointed out there was a tiny a.c split system in the corner that obviously wasn't keeping up with the demand! So I ran out oftime before we got there to google this restaurant & their menu. And my friends didn't inform me that this was a seafoodrestaurant or i would have said "please pick another restaurant," as I do not eat any seafood. It all just has a "fishy taste" &is chewy to me. That left very few, boring dishes on the menu for me to eat. My husband had a cheese steak sub & I had a basketof fried chicken tenders. Both tasted like a cheese steak sub & a basket of fried chicken tenders should taste like, but nothingspecial. My one friend had a crabcake & the other friend had a lobster roll & they both said they enjoyed them. After the mealwas dropped off, we were never checked on or asked if we needed refills. Our favorite restaurant! The crabcakes are phenomenal, and the crab dip is the best I've ever had, by far! The service is always... exceptional, and the food comes out quick and perfect every time. I can't say enough great things about The Paddock! Read more
We passed this place many times and never tried to go in. The first time we did go on we were advised we needed to have... reservations. I don't know of that is all of the time or if it is just during the busy periods only. But I finally made thereservation and got a table for us to go and try this restaurant out. It was busy and packed, so the reservations, at least atthat time made sense. Apparently our table wasn't ready so they offered us another table with high chairs and gave us a freeround of drinks. So that was nice. As far as the menu, it is a little difficult to follow as the font is very small and thereis a lot of choice for foods, steak and fish primarily. I have to say the prices seemed high. I am not sure if this is normal orif higher due to COVID and droughts and such. The stuffed mushroom was good with soft and tasty crab meat. The side salad wasleft to desire more for the cost of food here, very basic. The cream of crab soup was delicious. The stuffed mushroom weregood, but the same stuffing that was used for the mushroom, so no difference in taste. The crab cake, again, seemed like thesame taste as the other stuffed products we had. As far deserts, they only had 3 and all were cakes (cheesecake, peanut buttercake and key lime pie) so we opted to defer. But overall the staff were very pleasant and kind, they were attentive despitebeing very busy and the food was delicious (albeit expensive for the portions you received). It doesn't necessarily scare usaway from future visits from this restaurant though. Read more
The food was good and even surpassed expectations in some instances. The service was very attentive. The atmosphere was such... that you didn't have to shout to be heard but could also carry a quieter conversation and not be over heard. Dress was in the"nice jeans"/business casual range.
