Got take home tonight. Haven?t ate here in years and now I remember why. Food was mediocre at best. Fresh frozen as Gordon... Ramsey would say. Greasy and bland comes to mind. We live a few minutes down the road and came in at the recommendation of our in-laws. My family and I each ordered something... different so we could all try pretty much everything they had on the menu. The wings, potato salad, and onion rings were eachthe best that I have ever had. The dry rub seasoning on the ribs were also excellent. The crabcakes weren?t our favorite, buteverything else, including the service, was second to none. I read several reviews before going that complained about the pricesand the portions. I can?t speak for the portions when the previous owner ran it, but all of our portions were very generous andwe had a lot of food left over. As for the prices, they were very in line, and in my opinion fair, for 2022. I can guarantee youthe owner is not making any more money than he used to by raising the prices, he?s just trying to stay afloat. So if you don?tlike the increase in prices, blame Joe Biden and his inflation, not the owner. We all look forward to coming back and this willbe our new go-to spot. This was a really good place to eat before but now it's under new management and the are off the mark on the food...baked potato... not hot and not cooked all the way...they attempted to make another same thing not cooked all the way. Onion rings just a soggymess and fish wasn't that good. I am still willing to give them another chance and I hope they can turn it around. Read more
Very comfortable seafood restaurant with great food, liked the booth with view of tv, first visit, had the calabash shrimp salt... and peppered, very good and nice portion, onion rings were massive with a good amount of onion inside instead of just bread ,drink prices were reasonable, especially bottled beer, very good service, hope to be back soon, 5 stars for the best shrimp andbeer prices in area, thank you ! Me and my husband went here for the first time ever today and the food was delicious! The service was great and the owner was in... there working the bar and greeting people and was super friendly! Very cozy atmosphere and cool outdoor area as well. Willdefinitely be back. Read more
My husband and I ate here for the last time tonight. Prices have gone though the roof with no Senior menu available. No hush... puppies to begin the meal. Now they must be purchased as an appetizer to receive before meal.(they are included on the plate).It is with great sadness that we say good bye as we have frequented this establishment for many years and enjoy the deliciousfood. However, the price increases will not permit us to return. We drive 45 minutes to eat here, and in the past it was wellworth it but not now. Read more
I have lived in Clover for 7 years and just tried this restaurant. We don?t live far from here and have talked about trying it... but never got around to it. I wish we would have tried this 7 years ago!! What amazing food and great atmosphere as well. Theportions are huge and prices are more than reasonable. Never tried the food here. A lot of people I know said they are great. I was not impressed. Over priced for artery clogging... greasy, blood pressure raising salty food. Kids grill cheese wasn't the greatest. My grandson wouldn't touch it.. They don'ttake debit/credit cards either ,but you can pay a fee to use the ATM to get the cash if you don't have a check.
