I was working here through the last summer as a housekeeper and dishwasher. This hotel is amazing. Sanitation standards are very... high both for rooms and for kitchen. Food is great. Quite a memorable stay. Unforgettable beauty. Staff was amazing, helpful and accommodating. The old inn was so much fun with so... many cool secret pathways to get around. Kids loved that. A wonderful first stop on a driving tour of Maine leaving from Boston. This inn is beautifully maintained. We stayed in the... Chapman Cottage and had a very large accommodation with fireplaces in both the bedroom and the huge bathroom. We walked thehalf mile to the main inn for breakfasts and enjoyed the scenery and gingerbread homes. Dinners at their main restaurant“1637” were fabulous! We enjoyed hiking the Cliff Walk and the Fisherman’s Walk out to the Wiggly Bridge and then intotown. Loved our stay here! Read more
This inn was everything, and will always hold a special place in my heart, my husband and i tied the knot at this inn, i worked... with Emily she was our wedding coordinator and helped with everything, she was so hands on and and made our wedding daycompletely stress free! The inn is so beautiful, awesome character in the location is perfect! The breakfast they serve everymorning is also delicious! I will recommend this inn to anyone! It was just a very beautiful place. The staff was always verywelcoming and friendly and help us with anything we needed. If staying here you definitely have to eat at the restaurant. 10/10would highly recommend!! Read more
This was supposed to be my families first vacation. In hopes of new traditions with my husband and our two children aged 2... months and 2 years we embarked on an ambitious adventure! An over 3 hour car ride with two kids to York Maine. Having fondmemories of our yearly trips to Old Orchard Beach as a child I had high expectations of friendly people and warm memories in themaking. When we arrived at The York Harbor Inn to our horror we discovered they lost our reservation and had no where for us tostay. We paid $1600 for our stay in April of 2021. Not only did they make a mistake they made no attempts to rectify thesituation telling us they couldn’t refund us until they heard from upper management. They offered to find us another room ifwe had other funds available (we did not and the only rooms available locally cost $400+ a night) as the refund they wouldtheoretically be processing would take business days (2? 7? No clear answers on this to arrive back on our card) We turnedaround and went home. We spent 9 hours on the road having to stop numerous times to nurse our young baby and tend to ourrestless toddler all for nothing because they didn’t even get to the ocean. As a young couple who works 3 jobs collectively toprovide for our family when we decide on a place to spend our hard earned money we expect much better service and basic humandecency than we got. While this was supposed to be our first family vacation it certainly won’t be our last as a young familywe will choose to spend our vacations and our money elsewhere. Read more
Fantastic place to stay, right across from the beach. Warm and friendly staff compliment clean rooms. The main inn has two... excellent restaurants which are reasonably priced. Breakfast in included and is a step up from regular complimentarybreakfasts. There are ample choices, fresh pastries and really good coffee. I highly recommend this inn. Take a break from thechains and try it out, you won’t be disappointed! Read more
We held our wedding at York Harbor Inn last weekend and everything to do with the in was excellent. They go above and beyond... for the couple and their guests. Top notch service and kind people everywhere. I especially cannot express how wonderful Pauland Emily were through the whole experience and especially the day of the wedding! I would highly recommend any couple thatwants a beautiful sea side wedding with all the care and attention you need to check out York Harbor Inn! Also check them outfor a great get away stay or dinner, both the 1637 Restaurant and the Ship Cellar restaurant on site were fabulous ( do makereservations). Read more
This is the best hotel experience we have had. The staff was very warm and friendly. The chef was amazing. We had an incredible... Thanksgiving buffet and breakfast buffets. Our room was clean and cozy with an amazing view of the ocean. We can't say enoughwonderful things about our entire stay. Read more
