I came in VERY hungry, and left absolutely stuffed with leftovers for the next day! I ordered the farmer's skillet, and it was... quite tasty. Service was also on par. You definitely get your money's worth when it comes to food! Everything was quitedelicious. From the moment were greated to being in our car about to leave without our to-go coffee that they realized and brought out to... us; this place was AMAZING! Our waitress, Jessica, offered a tasting of the chorizo gravy, which was delicious. Yes, I thenordered a side serving to go in my hashbrowns. The pancakes were the best restaurant pancakes I have ever had. The sausagepatties were equally tasty and large. The sticky bun latte was a perfect combination of flavors. All of the little details wereappreciated... warm syrup.... whipped butter and homemade jam! The service Jessica provided was a 10! The entire restaurant andbathrooms were clean!!! Decorated in an industrial farmhouse that was extremely welcoming. The Southern Belle went above andbeyond any expectations of a pancakes house. The table next to us complented their lunch choices. Overall I woke up with a huge urge to have Shrimp and grits. Today I broke my sleep to go to my usual place where we go for... breakfast for my usual order of shrimp and grits. It truly is my favorite place to go locally outside of actually going toNola. My daughter had the pancakes and they were amazing, coffee delicious as usual. However today it was a huge,huge let downfor me. Normally I ask them to add a blend of pepper jack and cheddar cheese. It came out and no cheese in the grits. Gritsalone I can't do. They have to be cheese grits or I wanna vomit from the texture. So when I took the first bite I knew...nocheese. I asked the waitress who was supper kind to just grab me the been of sheese and I'll add it. The chef gave her adifferent blend , not the blend I asked for. Then I said it was not what I asked for she went back. Some otherwaitress orkitchen crew came out and bought me came with a small bowl and said in an off putting tone "cheddar cheese" I then said no itsok that's not what I asked for I'm just going to take it home and make it myself. So that's what I'm doing. I am disappointedbut hopeful that next time it will be better. The waitress did comp me the grits meal and kept apologizing, which Iappreciated. Needless to say I lost my appetite and ended up throwing it away however It won't stop me from coming back but Ijust hope history won't repeat itself and I can once again give it the 5 star I know they are worthy of . Man? Back in September we found this place buy accident on the way home. Best accident ever? the location was clean, staff was... friendly and the food was crazy good! I ordered the vegetable beef soup and buttermilk chicken sandwich. The soup was unexpectedly spicy. Maybe too much pepper. The... chicken sandwich had no taste at all and was over cooked. Very dry. Service was good. Food not so much. Read more
