Let me begin by saying that I believe this is the best chicken teriyaki in the area for the price. The food is fresh, fast, and... the meats are cooked hibachi style right in front of the customer, caramelizing them with a very pleasing high heat char. Asothers have said, when the cook is done preparing your meal, they'll offer you an extra ladle of teriyaki sauce. The answer tothis question is always yes. Now, on to the details and why I gave it 4/5 instead of a solid 5. Let's start with the cashier.Every time I've come here, the same cashier has been working, and she always seems annoyed that a customer has shown up. She cancome off a bit snippy and impatient and has cut me off in the middle of speaking many times. I'm not sure what her deal is, orif it's just me, but I don't appreciate being made to feel like I'm bothering the cashier just by walking up to order. A word tothe wise: as far as I can tell, the chicken is dark meat, and can sometimes not be trimmed as well as it should be. Almost everyorder has one or two inedible or extremely fatty pieces, and I've come across a few small pieces of bone and connective tissueover the many times I've eaten here. I don't know if they break down the meat in house or if it's shipped ready to cook, so Ican't really fault them for it, but it's still a little off-putting. Just make sure to chew thoroughly. Despite these twoissues, I do actually really enjoy Sarku Japan and it's pretty much the only place I go when I'm craving some Asian or teriyakigoodness. I highly recommend it. If you happen to be perusing the mall or just in the Boardman area, give it a try. Read more

I have been a faithful customer & always left a tip. Today is the last day i will ever spend my money here my veggies was half... cooked so i said something the guy who has been there as long as i have been going said you have to ask cashier to cook veggieswat?? An the noodles only coverd 1 section of the container. I understand it's tight after covid yet this place was the only 1doin business all the others were empty. So they need be more grateful 4 loyal customers spending their hard earned money hereeven in time of famine in the resturant industry. I will contact corporate as well because it's unbecoming of a brand of thiscaliber. Read more
