Was looking for a good fish restaurant near Belleville. Went in, ordered perch dinner and catfish nuggets. Both, the perch and... nuggets were fried so hard and taste as if the grease was old.The fries were brown and taste as if they were refried in oldgrease. Had to throw both dinners away. We will try another fish restaurant in the area, but we're done with this one. Read more
Every time I go here there?s an issue so make sure you look at the menu and prices because i ordered 8 tenders a medium fry and... 10 shrimp in cornmeal they did it in batter, so had to make it all over again and only gave me 9 shrimp call me petty but I wantwhat I paid for , also they gave me 14 tenders and charged me when I said 8 they push off something I didn?t order on me andmade me pay for it this isn?t the first time then the manager called me a liar and literally watched me count the shrimp andproceeded to say I ate one when in fact he watched me not eat anything. BEWARE of old chicken - We placed a large order for 300 wings and 100 legs and thighs nearly a week in advance. I was told by... the manager named Amir, to call the day before to confirm the order. To my surprise, I received a call a day in advance from anemployee saying my order was ready for pick-up!!! I told him to check the date and that's when he realized they made the orderone day too early! The next day we picked up the order and we were very disappointed because the chicken was not fresh and hotlike it usually is, it seemed cold inside like it was refrigerated. Considering the current chicken wing shortage, this orderwas likely saved for the next day and simply sold to us. We are NOT going to place orders like this with Al's supposed "Fresh"Fish & Chicken anymore due to us being given old chicken for our order. I will definitely give this place another try in the future. The one time I went here I got the cod dinner and it was pretty... good. It seemed a little dry to me like the fish fillets were too thin to stay moist on the inside. The portions were good. Tonsof fries and the lemon salt they offer was very tasty. Call ahead because it does take a solid 20 minutes to get your orderprepared but it is fresh and hot when you get it. From reading these reviews I see that a lot of people like the shrimp. Maybenext time I?ll try the shrimp. It was definitely good enough and prices were right to try again. I?m glad to see a localbusiness doing well in this area of Ypsilanti. Read more
