The Bellflower deserves well beyond 5 stars! This place is OUTSTANDING! They make all of their bread fresh daily, the shop is... absolutely beautiful, they have plenty of vegetarian options, and even some non-alcoholic drink options. This place is great! The second you walk in and smell the kitchen, you know it’s gonna be great! We shared the pimento cheese,... pears and blue cheese, and peel n eat shrimp which were all excellent. I always love shrimp gumbo so I couldn’t resist thateven though I think the shrimp were same ones from the appetizer. I liked the addition of clams to this dish. Still delicious.The accompanying potato salad instead of rice was slightly odd. Friends ate the collard greens which was in the style of paneerpalak and that was tasty. They also had pork shoulder with bread pudding, which we all ended up eating as dessert. Red beans andrice was tasty! Apparently made with coconut milk, yum! I especially liked the negroni specials! Overall I'd like to give this a 3.5/5, but I rounded up to 4. I like to review based on a combination of price, experience, and... flavors. I did not feel like the food was novel or tasty enough to justify $120 for a party of two, where the only dish thatimpressed me was the ham steak. Salad and brie (2/5): I did not feel like there was much going on with this dish. Clams (4/5):The butter sauce went well with the clams, and the potato salad was quite nice and well balanced. The presentation was good. Hamsteak (5/5): Great portions, texture, and flavor. I did not expect ham to taste that good. The texture certainly was like asteak, and it all paired well with the jam sauce. Flan (2/5): Essentially creme brulee, which was good for the first bite, butthen it was painfully sweet and hard to finish. Sangria - Why doesn’t the carafe have a lip? It was difficult to pour withoutspilling. Half off during happy hour so no other complaints here. Read more
This is my absolute favorite classier dining spot in Ypsilanti. Love that the menu changes and that there’s always something... new to try that you likely haven’t experienced. The salads are always unique. Love the ypsi honey drink. Amazing mock tails.Oddly obsessed with the rice and beans. I love this place and will continue to update photos because the food is too pretty!Great value and experience for your money you will not be disappointed. We went to the Bellflower today with our beloved friends and had a great meal. The cocktails in particular were very flavorsome... and original. The tequila in the Maynard was not too overwhelming, but blended well with the other ingredients and the spicedrim. I also truly enjoyed the taste of honey and lavender in the Ypsi Local Honey cocktail, which was not too sweet. Regardingthe food, I thought the pork chops were delicious and perfectly seasoned, and the portion was so generous! My friend commentedthat the meatballs were also very scrumptious. Read more
Top notch experience. Cool environment for small or larger parties of people. Helpful and very friendly staff. Full bar with all... the hits. We had a party of 4 and every single portion was massive and shareable. The server recommended the perfect drink andthe service was speedy. Coming back for sure. Read more
Found this place by chance and what a lucky find. Great indoor seating area and decor. Lots of light coming through large... windows. The menu was quite abit seafood and sandwiches. My sandwich was the fried cod, very tasty. Unfortunately I didn't takeany photos, my hunger got the best of me. I imagine though, during this would be busy with locals. Drinks here are good and are fairly priced. Our server was awesome and was pretty knowledgeable of the food and drinks and had... great recommendations. The food menu is pretty interesting. It was a little pricey but it tasted good. I just wished the foodcame on bigger plates as it was difficult to eat off a small stacked plate without leaving a mess. Read more
