First time I had ever been to a Chicken Shack, so didn't really know what to expect. The buns were soft and warm (a plus for... me), but I didn?t find the Shack Fries at all tempting, as they really are more of a cross between potato wedges and steakfries, and I prefer crunchy, skinny fries. I still would have eaten them but they sat too long waiting for the chicken to bedone. Even before I got them to the car, they were lukewarm with grease soaked into them. I tried patting them down with papertowels and put them in a preheated non-stick skillet to heat them up, but I never could get them to crisp up, even on the edges.I put most of them out for any creatures looking for food late at night. The chicken was somewhat hotter, thankfully, and Iliked it had a thin crust and not thick breading, but to me, there wasn't much flavor in the seasoning. The best food I had wasthe cole slaw! I had been pre-warned it was expensive, but I was still surprised by the prices, even though it is (sort of)post-pandemic and everything is costing more right now. I might try the place one more time for a rib & chicken combo, but itbetter wow me or I will go back to getting my roast chicken at a Kroger or Meijer deli Or, gasp, roast a whole chicken at home! Hospitality was mind blowing today! The cashier and manager were great! Food was fresh, tasty and filling! Family and I decided... to come every weekend! Great job! Great FRESH food. Stop eating at Popeyes and pay a little extra for some REAL food. Read more
The food is always fresh & delicious here! The service with everyone I've encountered is always great as well! It's very clean... here too. I mostly get the broasted chicken, ribs & shack potatoes. So far, whenever I come here I haven't been disappointed. Read more
Clean dining room, friendly staff we had fish and fried mushrooms. The manager gave free samples of BBQ ribs they were sooo good... . Next time definitely getting the Ribs!! Read more
I got the two piece, but just legs. So, they ended up giving me three! It was a nice surprise. I also got the shack potatoes as... the side and it came with the roll. Everything was fresh and tasted really good. The service was great and the workers are sokind. They did really well speed wise considering it was the dinner rush. This place is a huge step up from its next-doorneighbor: Popeyes. Read more
